Abstract
"MéTODO PARA A REMOçãO DE MERCúRIO A PARTIR DE GáS". A presente invenção se refere a um método para a remoção de mercúrio a partir de gás contendo dióxido de enxofre e oxigênio e a partir do vapor de ácido sulfúrico contido no gás. Em concordância com o método da presente invenção, o gás é lavado utilizando uma solução de água que contém íons de selênio, por intermédio do que selênio metálico é formado na presença de oxigênio, que precipita o mercúrio no gás e no vapor tanto, em um ambiente livre de cloro, como um seleneto (HgSe) ou quanto, em um ambiente contendo cloro, como um cloreto duplo (dicloreto) de mercúrio e de selênio (HgSe^ *^ HgC1~ 2~) - A lavagem de gás ocorre em uma baixa temperatura, abaixo de 50 <198>C.
