Abstract

"MéTODO E EQUIPAMENTO PARA ORIENTAR UMA EXIBIçãO DE MAPA EM UM DISPOSITIVO MóVEL OU PORTáTIL". Trata-se de um método e um equipamento para orientar uma exibição de mapa em um dispositivo móvel ou portátil. Uma bússola eletrónica é integrada com um dispositivo de mapeamento portátil manual ou móvel e o comportamento de bússola eletrónica é usado para calcular um valor de offset com relação à orientação pré-definida do mapa. O mapa é assim reorientado na tela com relação à direção do dispositivo. Em uma modalidade alternativa, um receptor GPS é também integrado com o dispositivo. Um ponto de direção é calculado a partir de dois ou mais pontos de posição GPS de modo a se determinar a orientação do dispositivo. Quando um ponto de direção está indisponível, como, por exemplo, na partida inicial do dispositivo, uma direção de bússola é usada no lugar do ponto de direção GPS de modo a se orientar o mapa em uma tela.
