Abstract
"LIGA PARA GALVANIZAçãO POR IMERSãO A QUENTE DE AçO, E, PROCESSO PARA A GALVANIZAçãO DE AçO POR IMERSãO EM UM BANHO DE GALVANIZAçãO DE LIGA DE ZINCO". Esta invenção refere-se a um banho para a galvanização por imersão a quente consistindo de zinco em liga, que é particularmente utilizável para galvanização em batelada de artigos de aço de baixa reatividade. This invention relates to a hot dip galvanizing bath consisting of zinc alloy which is particularly useful for batch galvanizing of low reactivity steel articles. The object of the invention is to provide a bath which results in a coating thickness of 30 to 50 µm. This relatively thin coating provides increased resistance to stress induced cracking. The bath contains by weight 0.1 less than 1% Bi, 0.01 to 0.05% A1, 0.04 to 0.12% Ni, up to 0.05% Mn, the remainder being zinc and impurities inevitable. Preferably, the bath contains 0.3 to 0.8% Bi, 0.02 to 0.04% A1, 0.06 to 0.10% Ni, and up to 0.05% Mn. A bath composition with 0.5% Bi, 0.03% A1 and 0.08% Ni is especially preferred.
