Abstract
"MéTODO E EQUIPAMENTO PARA UM CONTROLE DE TAXA EM UM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçãO COM ALTA TAXA DE DADOS". São descritos um método e um equipamento para o controle de taxa em um sistema de comunicação com alta taxa de dados (HDR). Um sistema de comunicação HDR ilustrativo define um conjunto de taxas de dados, no qual um ponto de acesso (AP) pode enviar pacotes de dados para um terminal de acesso (AT). A taxa de dados é selecionada a fim de manter uma taxa de erro de pacote (PER) alvo. O algoritmo de malha aberta (open loop) do AT mede a relação sinal/interferência e ruído (SINR) recebida em intervalos regulares, e utiliza a informação para prever uma SINR média através da próxima duração de pacote. O algoritmo de malha fechada (closed loop) AT mede uma taxa de erro de pacote (PER ) do sinal recebido, e utiliza a PER para calcular um fator de correção de malha fechada. O fator de correção de malha é somado ao valor de SINR previsto pela malha aberta, resultando em uma SINR ajustada. O AT mantém uma tabela de consulta, que compreende um conjunto de limites SINR que representam uma SINR mínima necessária para se decodificar com sucesso um pacote em cada taxa de dados. O AT utiliza o conjunto ajustado de limites SINR na tabela de consulta para selecionar a taxa de dados mais alta, o limite SINR da qual está abaixo da SINR prevista. O AT então solicita, através do link reverso, que o AP envie o próximo pacote nessa taxa de dados.
