"PROCESSO APERFEIçOADO PARA A CONVERSãO DE UM HIDROLIZADO DE BIOMASSA AQUOSA EM COMBUSTìVEIS OU PRODUTOS QUìMICOS ATRAVéS DA REMOçãO SELETIVA DE INIBIDORES DE FERMENTAçãO E MEIO FERMENTáVEL". Apresenta-se um processo para a fabricação de um combustível ou um produto químico a partir de um hidrolisado de biomassa que compreende as etapas de proporcionar um hidrolisado de biomassa, ajustando o pH do hidrolisado, contatando um óxido metálico apresentando uma afinidade por grupos funcionais guaiacila ou siringila, ou ambos e o hidrolisado durante um intervalo de tempo suficiente para formar um complexo de adsorção; remoção do complexo no qual se dispõe uma fração de açúcar, e conversão da fração de açúcar em combustíveis ou produtos químicos utilizando um microorganismo.
