Compreendendo as etapas a seguir: (a) transferência da escória dentro de um recipiente metalúrgico; (b) despumagem da escória dentro deste recipiente metalúrgico através de adição de um agente despumante, preferivelmente sílica; (c) em seguida, aquecimento da escória para torná-la fluida, e (d) resfriamento forçado da escória, por exemplo, uma granulação aquosa.
