Abstract

"ANáLISE DE CARCAçA DE ANIMAL". Trata-se de um processo para analisar uma carcaça de animal ovino que compreende a captura de uma imagem de uma vista dorsal para gerar dados da imagem da cor para a carcaça (10). Os pontos anatómicos predeterminados (21 - 24) da carcaça são identificados para derivar então medições dimensionais para a carcaça. Além disso, parâmetros de caracterização, tais como o rendimento e a profundidade de gordura da carcaça, são derivados através do processamento dos dados da cor incluídos nos dados da imagem capturados conjuntamente com as medições dimensionais derivadas. Os dados da cor processados são os dados para áreas de superfície selecionadas predeterminadas, especialmente as áreas do lombo, da virilha e da espádua (30 - 32) da carcaça (10) conhecidas ou determinadas como tendo uma correlação significativa com o parâmetro de caracterização relacionado com a gordura. Desejavelmente, a cauda (17) da carcaça do animal é identificada e a sua largura é determinada, uma vez que esta é útil como uma variável em uma equação de predição do rendimento da carcaça. Os dados da cor compreendem os valores de RGB médios que representam os componentes das cores vermelha, verde e azul que são valores da cor normalizados em intensidade.
