Abstract

Un proceso automático evalúa la cantidad de carne que queda en una canal del animal recortado generando datos de imagen de la canal y procesando los datos de imagen en una computadora para calcular la cantidad de carne que queda en la canal. El proceso automático puede ser llevado a cabo utilizando una ecuación desarrollada contando píxeles en un área de interés en imágenes de una pluralidad de las canales recortadas de referencia de las que luego se raspa la carne restante y se pesa, para producir puntos de datos utilizados para desarrollar la ecuación que luego se utiliza para calcular la cantidad de carne que queda en una canal recortada a medida que avanza por una línea de procesamiento.
