Reforços para extremidade de dedo ou calcanhar em calçados consistindo de uma malha, sendo que pelo menos alguns filamentos desta são de feitos de material adesivo de fusão a quente tendo uma temperatura de ativação entre 50<198>C e 80<198>c. Materiais adesivos adequados incluem policaprolactona e certos poliésteres. Estes reforços apresentam maior rigidez por unidade de peso, em comparação com os reforços anteriormente conhecidos.
