Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA CONTROLAR UMA ATUALIZAçãO E SISTEMA PARA ATUALIZAçãO DE PROGRAMAçãO EM UMA POPULAçãO DE TERMINAIS DE TOPO DE APARELHO CONECTADA A UM SISTEMA DE TELEVISãO A CABO". Este processo e sistema permitem a atualização controlada de programação em um terminal de topo de aparelho de um sistema de televisão a cabo. Uma ordem de atualização é transmitida pela rede a cabo, do operador de sistema para a população de terminais de topo de aparelho. A ordem de atualização pode ser universal ou dirigida a alvo. SE dirigida a alvo, a ordem de atualização só será implementada por um único terminal de topo de aparelho ou um grupo de terminais de topo de aparelho especificados por um endereço único ou multi-difundido incluído com a ordem de atualização. Se a ordem de atualização for para uma atualização completa, o terminal de topo de aparelho terminará, e pode apagar todos os códigos de execução.
