Abstract

"TRATAMENTO DE FLUXOS GASOSOS COMBUSTìVEIS CONTENDO SULFETO DE HIDROGêNIO". Um primeiro fluxo de gás combustível contendo sulfeto de hidrogênio é submetido a tratamento em uma primeira unidade de Claus incluindo um primeiro estágio térmico de Claus. Parte do teor de sulfeto de hidrogênio de um segundo fluxo de gás combustível contendo sulfeto de hidrogênio é queimado em pelo menos um adicional estágio térmico de Claus. A combustão é sustentada por ar enriquecido de oxigênio possuindo uma fração molar de oxigênio de pelo menos cerca de 0,25 ou por oxigênio. O dióxido de enxofre resultante reage com o sulfeto de hidrogênio residual para formar vapor de enxofre o qual é retirado por condensação do gás efluente proveniente do adicional estágio térmico de Claus para formar um fluxo de gás efluente esgotado em enxofre. Um primeiro sinal de controle é gerado o qual é uma função da taxa de fluxo do segundo gás. Um segundo sinal de controle, que é uma função da relação molar sulfeto de hidrogênio/dióxido de enxofre no fluxo efluente esgotado em enxofre é também gerado. Os sinais de controle são empregados no ajustamento da taxa, na qual o gás que sustenta a combustão é fornecido ao segundo estágio térmico de Claus.
