Abstract
"MODO INATIVO PARTICIONADO PARA ESTAçõES DE ASSINANTE BI-MODAIS". São providos um sistema e um método para redução da corrente inativa média em um aparelho portátil de um sistema de telecomunicações pela redução da energia quando a demodulação do sinal recebido e decodificação da corrente de dados FOCC forem providas desnecessariamente. O sistema e o método suplantam a necessidade de decodificar todas as cinco palavras de dados FOCC repetidas. O sistema efetua vários testes em cada uma das cinco palavras de dados a medida que elas são recebidas. Caso as palavras de dados satisfaçam a condições específicas, tais como conter palavras de preenchimento de controle ou estejam de acordo umas com as outras com base no resultado dos testes, não ocorre qualquer processamento adicional de palavras até que a próxima sincronização seja recebida e o modo de repouso iniciado. De acordo com outra característica, o sistema pode apagar a seq³ência de sincronização / pontuação (dotting) se e somente se a palavra de sincronização anterior seja decodificada com sucesso. O sistema e método dão suporte às partições A e B e desligam componentes do aparelho portátil, tais como os circuitos de RF e/ou temporizadores de sincronização de dados.
