Abstract
<B>SISTEMA E MéTODO PARA PRODUZIR UM SINAL AMPLIFICADO<D> Um sistema de amplificação de sinal envolve a decomposição de um sinal em dois ou mais componentes, a amplificação dos componentes e em seguida a combinação dos componentes amplificados para produzir o sinal amplificado. A decomposição pode ser feita de modo que os componentes resultantes possuam características que sejam acessíveis para amplificação eficiente. Por exemplo, a decomposição do sinal a ser amplificado pode ser feita utilizando pelo menos um limiar. O primeiro componente do sinal a ser amplificado pode ser formado pela porção do sinal dentro do limiar. Como tal, uma vez que o primeiro componente forma um sinal com uma menor PAR, o primeiro componente do sinal pode ser amplificado mais eficientemente do que o sinal original. O segundo componente do sinal pode ser formado pela porção do sinal original fora do limiar. Uma vez que o segundo componente é a maioria das vezes zero, o segundo componente pode também ser amplificado eficientemente, por exemplo com um amplificador do tipo de classe C que não dissipa qualquer energia quando o sinal de entrada for zero.
