Abstract
<B>MéTODO PARA DESABILITAR DE MODO SELETIVO UMA CARACTERìSTICA DE TRANSFERêNCIA ASSISTIDA MóVEL (MAHO)<D> A presente invenção propõe uma metodologia para se habilitar e se desabilitar de modo seletivo a transferência assistida móvel (MAHO) em um sistema de comunicação sem fio TDMA, habilitando-se e desabilitando-se uma base móvel de cada vez, com base em um sinal de disparo. O sinal de disparo identifica a estação móvel ou conjunto de estações móveis para as quais deve-se desabilitar a característica MAHO. O sinal de disparo pode ser originado numa estação-base ou em um centro de comutação móvel (MSC) por um técnico de sistema. O sinal de disparo pode também se originar de uma estação móvel servida e conter informações sobre uma posição da estação móvel servida. Neste último caso, se a estação móvel servida não tiver se deslocado de uma posição anterior, a estação-base servidora desabilita MAHO para a estação móvel servida. Um sinal de desabilitar MAHO identifica de modo específico aquelas estações móveis para as quais MAHO deve ser desabilitada. Quando uma estação móvel servida recebe tal sinal de desabilitar, ela cessa de transmitir informações de qualidade de sinal. Alternativamente, MAHO é constantemente habilitada para a estação móvel servida, e a estação-base servidora processa de modo seletivo as informações de qualidade de canal com base no movimento da estação móvel servida.
