It has enhanced functionalities for transmitting additional local information. The system comprises a relay station (16) which receives a television signal from a main transmitter (14) and a main television studio (12) via an antenna (17) and a synchronous receiver (18) and transmits via a relay transceiver (20 and 21). A memory computer (23) in the relay station (16) is connected via a modem (24) and a two-way telephone line (32) to a local control center (30) via a data receiver (26) and via a switch / mixer (28) with the relay transceiver (20 and 21).
