Двигателят намира приложение в автомобилния транспорт, каростроенето, селскостопанската техника и др. Той е с компактна конструкция, с повишена мощност при намален разход на гориво и не замърсява околната среда. Двигателят е от безмотовилков вид и включва два по два срещуположно и съосно поместени цилиндъра (4), в които са монтирани буталата (5) с общи бутални лостове (8). Всеки бутален лост (8) е раздвоен симетрично и в междината му е монтиран двигателният вал (13), свързан чрез винтова зъбна предавка (36) с разпределителния вал (38 и 39), зацепен в единия си край (39) директно с дистрибутор (40). Разпределителният вал (38 и 39) е снабден в двете си части с по четири двойнодействащи гърбици (41), до които са опрени двустранно клапани (42) с регулиращи винтове (51). Клапаните (42) са монтирани под ъгъл към разпределителния вал (38 и 39).
