Abstract
The mined materials are used by the construction industry. The method ensures a complete splitting of the mined block from the bulk rock retaining minimum deviation from the assigned dimensions. The method applies drilling of horizontal and vertical blasting holes in the bulk rock and explosive cord is inserted in the holes. The holes are filled with water up to 150 mm under the mouth of the orifice and are connected by the external explosive cord trunk line to the detonator. The vertical blasting holes are detonated with a lagging of one degree after blasting the horizontal holes.
