Abstract

A method of mining comprising the steps of providing a subterranean gallery (G), filling said gallery with liquid under pressure, extracting mineral from a workface of said gallery and conveying the spoil away from the workface through a conduit (18) to a position outside the pressurized subterranean gallery.
