Abstract

The method is easy to perform and it avoids the use of highly toxic solvents. It consists in the crystallization of the (-)-3-aminopinane salt of sorbinyl from a solution, preferably in a lower alcohol or a mixture of lower alcohols, of a racemic hydantone of the following formula.
