Abstract
Thermobaric warhead is constituent part of various ammunition and is intended for destruction of manpower located in the open field, in shelters, for destruction of engineering equipment, buildings and unarmored technique. With the implementation of the warhead is achieved higher efficiency in combat against manpower, located behind a partition or in a shelter, resistant to striking of fragmentation warheads. The thermobaric warhead is composed of thin-walled housing (1) of light metal alloy, in which are housed thermobaric composition (2) and the bursting charge (3), sealed with a lid (4), to which is threadedly attached detonator (6). The thermobaric composition is a solid heterogeneous composition of highly - dispersible metallic powders with oxygen-containing salts of inorganic acids, a high energy component of one or more high explosives compounds and binder, which is liquid rubbers with plasticizers, providing a uniform density throughout the occupied volume. The bursting charge (3) is positioned on the axis of the housing (1) directly into thermobaric composition (2) and is pressed axially by detonator (6) by means of at least one annular sealant (5).
