Abstract

Thermobaric hand grenade is intended for destruction of manpower located in the open field, in shelters, engineering equipment, buildings and unarmored technique with the force of shock wave and hightemperature. With this is achieved higher combat effectiveness against manpower located behind a partition or in a shelter, which is resistant to striking effect of fragmentation grenades. The thermobaric hand grenade consists of a housing (1) in which is placed thermobaric composition (19), closed by a lid (12) to which is attached by threaded intermediate detonator (14), which is composed of detonating cup (17) and bursting charge (16) and a threaded bushing (11) and the bursting charge (16) is connected to the charging fuse (4). Thermobaric composition (19) is made of a liquid phase of an organic nitrogen containing compound and of highly burning metal with a bulk density less than 400 kg/m3 in a ratio of from 1:2 to 2:1, and the bursting charge (16) is made of explosive material at a rate of detonation of more than 6,500 m / s, with a ratio of its mass to the mass of the composition thermobaric than 1 / 12 to 1 / 20.
