Abstract

The method and the device are used in mechanical engineering for the transportation of liquids by means of compressed air, both of condensation, and of other liquids which can substitute the existing and the quickly wearing off devices having spring-and-lever mechanisms and ensure smooth and emergency-free operation of the pieces of equipment. By the method the liquid is fed to a specified level into a vessel wherein at least two changeable volumes can be formed, after which the liquid is pushed out and transported by means of changeable effective operational volume of the compressed gas, or steam, respectively. In the vessel, at least two changeable gas volumes V1 and V2 are formed, which act by different pressure p1 and p2 on the liquid. The liquid level in both volumes is changing in a stepping manner, and the switching of the processes - feeding of the liquid and filling the vessel, as well as the pushing out of the liquid to the user - is effected by the established pressure difference p1 and p2 between the gas volumes V1 and V2. The device for liquid transportation by compressed gas or steam takes the form of a closed vessel (1) having an input (6) and output (7) for the liquid, and input (4) and outlet (3) for the compressed gas or steam. A second volume is formed in vessel (1), and a cylinder (2) is provided, opened from its lower part and mounted along the axis of vessel (1) with a facility for movement in vertical direction. Pipe connection (11) with valve (12) ends into a cylinder (2), to which a pipe of side apertures and internal valve (5) is mounted. The lock of valve (5) is connected by means of a level mechanism (9) to the discharge valve (3) and the gas input valve (4). The movement of valves (3, 4 and 5) is synchronized, depending on the changeable effective volume of the gas, or the steam, respectively, fed into the closed vessel (1) and cylinder (2).
