Abstract

The bonded fibre fabrics are used for the fabrication of heat insulation fabrics in the motorcar industry, in glass-reinforced plastic for building of sea-going vessels, large-size reservoirs, as well as in civil engineering for heat insulation, wall reinforcement, flooring materials, water-proof coating, reinforce concrete making, plastering and others. It has several times higher tensile strength, fire-resistance temperature, as well as reduced specific weighty per unit surface when using basalt fibres of larger length and reduced thickness. The bonded fabric comprises inorganic fibres based on minerals of exactly specified length and of organic binder, comprising carbamide formaldehyde resin. The inorganic firbres are made of natural basal rock, and to the binder acrylic dispersion has been added. The composition of the fabric includes, in wt. %: mineral fibres from 65 to 77 and binders from 35 to 23. 1 claim
