Abstract

The invention relates to a method for removing a cable core from a cable sheath, said cable core comprising a casing (8). A flowing medium (22) is introduced under pressure into the cable duct (9) at one end of the cable to reduce friction and a tension force (F) is exerted on the cable core at one end (5) of the cable (1). According to the invention, a method by which extant cable may have the cable core thereof released as rapidly and economically as possible may be achieved whereby the flowing medium is specifically introduced into the annular space between the inner side of the cable sheath and the casing (8) of the cable core. 33 claims, 5 figures
