Abstract

The method and the device are applied in interrow cultivation of perennial crops (vineyards and orchards) cultivated on inclined slopes, in rows, oriented along the inclination of the slope, in water erosion risky terrains. They reduce the solid and liquid run-off, forming part of the surface run-off into inter-soil one. The soil moisture content and aeration is improved, as a result of which yields increase. Under the effect of the operation of the tools of the device, the degree of soil compaction is reduced and the travel of the machine-and-tractor unit along the inclination of the slope. By the method, the cultivation, the transverse cutting with passage formation, ripping and transverse furrow formation are made in succession, simultaneously and along the inclination of the slope. Cutting and passage formation are made at twice as big depth than the cultivation, ripping and the interrupted furrow formation. The device consists of a common frame (1), to which in a succeeding row a set of soil cultivation tools (2) are pivotally attached, cutting tools (3) to the lower rear end passage formation tools, ripping pin wheels (5) and furrow forming blade wheels (7) mounted to them by a crank wheel mechanism. 2 claims, 2 figures
