Abstract

The plant is used in the power industry. It increases the efficiency of the power plants as the degree of the recuperation of the waste heat is increased. The plant consists of a heating device (1), turbine (2), recuperation heat exchanger (3), cooler (4), liquefied gas holder (5), pump (6), cooling unit and intermediate heat tank (8). All types of gases having critical temperatures lower than 350K can be used as operating fluids in the plant. The thermodynamic power cycle is carried out fully at supercritical pressure of the operating fluid and a large temperature range between the hot and cold tanks. Between the straight and the reverse flow of the gas a recuperation heat exchange occurs due to which high degree of recuperation of the waste heat is achieved. The nonrecuperated heat is removed from the cold tank by means of a cooling unit and is fed to a third intermediate heat tank with a temperature higher than the temperature of the cold tank. 4 claims, 2 figures
