Abstract

The rotary engine has pistons (70) mounted for reciprocatingmotion in the respective cylinders (75) arranged at equaldistances around the longitudinal axis of revolution which is theaxis of revolution of an outlet shaft (55). It gets across sealedholes (62) of the respective first and second front cover (54, 51)of housing (50). Pistons (70) and cylinders (75) move as part of arevolving rotary mechanism (78) fitted to the outlet shaft (55).An element driven by a cam (77) is connected to each pistonadjusted for interaction with first corrugated guiding cam (65) tohousing (50). Means (82) for transporting fuel to the operativeends of holes (74) of cylinders and for discharging the exhaustgases from them are provided, where the cyclic combustion of thefuel in the holes causes reciprocating motion of pistons (70) witha resultant push to the guiding cam (65) in order to cause therevolution of the rotary mechanism (78) and of the outlet shaft(55) Pistons (70) are grouped in two sets, each having at leasttwo pistons. The pistons from every set are arranged at somedistance around the revolving axis of the rotary mechanism (78)and the outlet shaft (55) and are interconnected by connectiondevices (67, 79) so that they move synchronously. The componentsdriven by cam (71) and first cam (65) are designed in such a waythat the motion of one of the piston sets in their respectivecylinders is most generally in a direction opposite to thedirection of motion of the other piston set. The components drivenby cam (71) are getting in contact without meshing with theguiding cam (65).
