Abstract

Procédé de fabrication d'un produit à base de ferro-alliage à l'état de fusion dans un four de fusion, chargé de briquettes essentiellement composées de fer métallisé, de granules d'un oxyde de métal alliant, d'une source de carbone, telle que du coke menu, et d'un laint, tel qu'un mélange d'hydroxyde de calcium et de molasse, la réduction de cet oxyde de métal alliant en l'élément métallisé correspondant étant provoquée par la combustion d'une matière à base de carbone, par laquelle est également chauffée la charge pour former un ferro-alliage à l'état de fusion. Des fondants et formateurs de scories sont, le cas échéant, également introduits dans le four.
