Method and device for
mating of two trees
provided with flanges Method and device for coupling two shafts provided with flanges
The present invention relates to a method for coupling two end-to-end shafts each provided with a flange using conical laces and expandable conical sleeves cooperating with the laces and having the same taper, these sockets extending in holes provided in the flanges, the laces having two threaded ends, a first end located on the short side of the cone and a second end located on the long side of the cone.
Such a process is known from US-A-4,192,621.
In the known method, each lace transmits both the torsional moments and the bending moments.
For the establishment of these laces and in any case for their removal, their conical part has been provided with circumferential grooves supplied with pressurized fluid making it possible to separate the sleeve from the conical part of the lace, which represents a difficulty of machining. The method according to the invention making it possible to use easier machining laces and also transmitting both the moments of torsion and bending is characterized in that it comprises the following steps:
a) we introduce into the corresponding holes each shoelace with its sleeve, b) a nut is screwed on the first end of the shoelace, c) one exerts a traction with a jack on the second end of the shoelace, the nut of the first end resting on the corresponding flange, d) while maintaining traction on the second end, we apply by screwing on the second end a nut against the corresponding flange, e) pushing the sleeve towards this second end and eliminating the action cylinder.
The invention also relates to a device for implementing this method, comprising a conical lace, an expandable conical sleeve of the same conicity internally and cylindrical externally, said lace being at each end provided with a nut and a socket for perform a traction, characterized in that it comprises a spacer located between the nut at the end of the short side of the cone and the sleeve, said spacer bearing on said sleeve and being pushed back by means of screws passing through said nut and in that the sleeve is split longitudinally.
The present invention will be better understood in the light of the description which follows in which FIG. 1 represents a longitudinal section of the coupling device according to the invention and FIG. 2 represents a side view of the device of FIG. 1.
The device according to the invention is used for coupling two shafts 1 and 2 each provided with a flange 3 and 4.
Each flange 3 and 4 is provided with holes 5 and 6 which correspond.
The device comprises a lace 7, the central part 8 of which is conical. This central part 8 is surrounded by a socket 9 provided with a longitudinal slot 10.
This sleeve 9 is internally conical with a conicity identical to that of the central part 8 of the lace 7 and it is cylindrical externally.
The lace 7 has a first end 11 on the short side of the cone and a second end 12 on the long side of the cone.
Each end 11, 12 is threaded and receives a nut 13, 14. In addition each end 11, 12 is provided axially with a threaded conical thread 15, 16 making it possible to receive, when the time comes, a gripping element attached to a hydraulic cylinder. tensioning.
Between the nut 13 screwed onto the first end 11 and the sleeve 9 is placed a spacer 17 bearing on the sleeve 9 and pushed back by three axes 18 pushed by screws 19 passing through the nut 11.
The nuts 13, 14 are provided with cylindrical holes 20 allowing a grip for screwing and unscrewing them (see FIG. 2).
The coupling method according to the invention is as follows:
The lace assembly 7, sleeve 9, spacer 17 and nuts 13, 14 is placed in position as shown in the figure with the sleeve straddling the corresponding holes 5 and 6 of the two flanges 3 and 4, the slot 10 of the sleeve 9 being placed towards the top of the coupling.
A hydraulic cylinder exerts a force between the thread of the conical thread 16 of the second end 12 and the face 21 of the flange 4.
Since the nut 13 screwed on the first end 11 is applied against the bottom 22 of a bore 23 of the flange 3, the force applied causes the lace 7 to be lengthened so that due to the existence of the coefficient Poisson, the diameter of the cone narrows and a radial clearance is created between the conical surfaces of the lace 7 and the sleeve 9. We then screw the nut 14 and this nut is applied against the bottom 24 of the bore 25 of the flange 4 containing this nut 14.
To cancel the play by axial displacement of the sleeve 9 relative to the lace 7 in the direction of the small diameter of the cone towards the large diameter of the cone, the screws 19 of the nut 13 are screwed. These screws 19 push the axes 18 which push the spacer 17.
The hydraulic pressure in the cylinder is then canceled and this cylinder disassembled.
For disassembly, simply return the hydraulic cylinder to its position on the second end 12 of the lace 7 and exert a force allowing the nut 14 to be loosened.
The jack is disassembled and put in place if necessary on the opposite side in order to exert a force by means of the conical thread 15.
The nut 14 is removed. A slight hydraulic pressure in the jack makes it possible to take off the sleeve 9 from the holes 5 and 6. The jack is removed then the lace assembly 7, sleeve 9 is removed after the nut 13 has been unscrewed by pushing the lace 7 of the first end 11 to second 12.
