Abstract

The modular system uses three extruded sections in aluminium, pref. to build a partition. The first section (1) is a rectangular channel and is used in pairs with its web vertical to form box section rails. The second (3) and third (2) sections are a half octagonal channel and a cover plate respectively which clip together (8,12) to form a post. - Two posts and two rails make a rectangular frame which, with infill panelling, constitutes a partition. The flanges of the rectangular channels and the cover plate may be equipped with grooves (5,7) for the edges of infill panels. The former is also equipped with concealed part circular grooves (6) for self-tapping screws. The half octagonal channel may also be equipped with screw-grooves (10,11) together with T-grooves (9) for inter-post connectors.
