Abstract
Lampe à décharge à haute pression munie d'une enceinte à décharge (3), dont la paroi (3a) est en matériau céramique perméable à la lumière qui est essentiellement constitué par du grenat d'aluminium-yttrium polycrystallin fritté dense. Conformément à l'invention, le matériau de la paroi (3a) contient au moins l'une des substances MgO et SiO2 dans une quantité totale d'au moins 50 ppm. en poids, la valeur absolue de la différence en ppm. en poids de SiO2 et de MgO étant d'au moins 50 et un excès en MgO d'au maximum 1000 ppm. en poids. Le matériau peut etre fritté sans pression externe.
