<EMI ID=2.1>
(figure 4 ) .
<EMI ID=3.1>
sinusoïdes déphasées d'environ 120[deg.] (figure 2).
<EMI ID=4.1>
nouvelle bielle de longueur prédéterminée ;
l'arbre de sortie du réducteur de vitesse commandant l'oscillation de la table 6, régler le déphasage avec le premier bras de commande à 1200 et monter une seconde bielle 11' sur le second bras de commande 13' ;
15 ;

Machine for sawing a stony material with a movable table
The present invention relates to a machine for sawing a stony material comprising a device provided with at least one armor blade or an endless ribbon provided with abrasive segments capable of a translational movement combined with a movement of advancement in the sawing groove and a movable table suitable for supporting a block of material
sawing and undergoing alternately at each of its ends an upward and downward movement.
It finds its main application in work
stone and similar relatively hard materials such as granites, porphyries, diorites, especially when necessarily high sawing pressures are involved.
We know from Belgian patent N [deg.] 604,336 a sawing machine comprising a movable table mounted on cams and a control device which alternately imposes on one of the end edges of the table an upward and downward movement, while the the other end edge undergoes a downward movement respectively upward. In this known machine, the contact area between the cutting part of the armor blade and the material to be sawn, is reduced to a contact arc of relatively short length.
As a result, a speed of advance of the saw blade is reached, appreciable even if the specific pressure exerted on the blade is considerably reduced and brought back, for example, to a value such that it no longer generates any exaggerated deformation or torsion of the blade.
This known device does not, however, give complete satisfaction because its realization which provides for the mounting of
the table on cams and rollers is very difficult if not impossible.
The present invention aims to avoid the above drawbacks and proposes a sawing machine of simple construction mainly involving bearings to produce a sawing machine ensuring
a perfectly curved sawing path.
It relates to a machine for sawing a stony material comprising a device provided with at least
a blade, which is provided with abrasive segments capable of a reciprocating translational movement combined with an advancing movement in the saw groove and a movable table suitable for supporting a block of material to be sawed and subjected alternately at each of its ends an upward and downward movement, essentially characterized
in that the table rests at each end edge on a crank shaft actuated respectively by a first and
a second control systems angularly phase shifted relative to each other.
In a particular embodiment, each
end edge of the table rests on a crank shaft comprising a substantially vertical control arm and a fixing arm carrying the table, substantially horizontal.
According to a feature of the invention, the control systems rotate together alternately in one direction then in the other in an angular sector at most
equal to the phase shift angle of the above control systems.
These features and other details of the invention will appear during the following detailed description referring to the attached drawings illustrating by way of example a particular embodiment of the invention.

In these figures, the same reference notations designate identical or analogous elements.
The sawing machine according to the invention, designated as a whole by the reference 1 comprises a frame 2 on which is mounted a blade-holder frame not shown.
This frame is provided with at least one blade 3 highly stretched on the blade holder and is provided with diamond segments 4 attached to its lower part.
The machine 1 comprises means (not shown) capable of imparting to the blade holder frame and consequently to the blade 3, a horizontal translational movement back and forth combined with a downward advancing movement in the saw groove 5.
The machine also includes a movable table 6 on which rests a block of material 7 to be sawed, for example a block of granite. This table 6 is optionally mounted on a carriage 6 'movable on rail 6 "perpendicular to the sawing plane on rollers 7'.
The table 6 rests at each end edge 8, 8 ', by means of bearings 9, 9' on a crankshaft 10,
10 'actuated by a connecting rod 11, 11'. At one of the end edges 8, the bearings 9 are integral with the oscillating table 6 by means of slides 12 making it possible to resume a slight translation.
A slight angular oscillation is imposed on the control shafts 13, 13 ′ actuating the two connecting rods 11,
11 ′ which in turn drive in a back and forth movement, each of the two crank shafts 10,
10 '. The control arms 13, 13 'mounted in bearings
14 fixed to the carriage of the machine 1, are driven by a drive member 15 via a speed reducer. 16.
The speed reducer 16 includes a double output drive for the arms 13, 13 ′.
According to a feature of the invention, the phase shift between the two control arms 13, 13 ′ is adjusted by
angle a between 15 and 1200 and the two crank shafts 10, 10 ′ are actuated using connecting rods 11, 11 ′ by regularly reversing the direction of movement of the driving member, so as to rotate them together, alternately in an X direction then in the other Y direction, of an angular displacement less than or equal to the phase shift angle of the abovementioned control systems. The phase shift angle is determined
as a function of the length of the arms 17, 17 ′ and of the desired trajectory.
The direction of rotation X, X 'and Y, Y' of the crank shafts
10, 10 'is regularly overturned after predetermined angular displacement, so as to raise one of the substantially horizontal arms 17 carrying the table 6 and therefore raise one of the end edges 8 thereof, while the other edge 8 'carried by the arm 17', descends strongly. If we consider the relative position of the blade 3 or the ribbon with respect to the saw block 7 and does not take into account the translational movement of the blade 3 with respect to the block 7, we see that the machine 1 according to the invention amounts to raising one end of the blade
<EMI ID = 2.1>
the other end of the blade 3 of a low height X2
(figure 4).
Thus the envelope of all the successive positions of the blade 3 relative to the block 7 gives a curved sawing path 23 and a very reduced contact arc between the block 7 to be sawed and the blade 3.
The diagram in FIG. 5 shows on a large scale the means 18 for reversing the operation of the drive member 15 and of the speed reducer 16. A latching arm 19,
19 'is fixed on each of the control arms 13, 13' around which it can rotate by an angle # chosen below the phase shift angle a of approximately 1200 to activate a microswitch 20 actuated by a follower roller 21.
Each end edge 8, 8 'of the table 6 rests on a crank shaft 10, 10' comprising a drive arm
22, 22 'substantially vertical and a fixing arm carrying the table 6, substantially horizontal.
From the geometry of the sawing machine 1, it can be deduced that the curves determining the value of the heights
h substantially horizontal arms 17 of each of the right-hand 10 and left-hand crank shafts 10 ′ carrying the table in function
<EMI ID = 3.1>
phase-shifted sinusoids of around 120 [deg.] (Figure 2).
The device shown in Figure 1 is not intended
to work on the 360 [deg.] of the output shaft of the speed reducer 16. One complete rotation of the control arms
13, 13 'would cause the end edges 8, 8' of the table 6 to move up and down together during part of the operating cycle. However, an ascent of the assembly of the block 7 or a descent of the assembly of the latter is detrimental for the proper functioning of the sawing machine 1.
A displacement of the entire block 7 is avoided by limiting the displacement of each of the control shafts
<EMI ID = 4.1>
the overshoot angle a and chosen for example between points A and B (Figure 2).
With reference to FIG. 2, a diagram constituting FIG. 3 represents various positions of the table for various parametric values of the angular displacement wt of the output shaft of the speed reducer 16. One end 8 of the table 6 moves up and down alternately towards a position h while the other end 8 'descends and rises respectively towards a position h'.
As illustrated in FIG. 1, there is the drive member 15 and the speed reducer 16 with two outputs advantageously between the two crank shafts 10, 10 '
at the height of these on the chassis 2.
A particular embodiment of the method according to the invention consists in making inexpensive constructive modifications to a known sawing machine comprising a movable table mounted at each of its end edges, on a crankshaft driven by a shaft. and by a single connecting rod. The modifications in question are intended to modify the kinematics of the table, in order to have at all times a contact arc of relatively small length.
These modifications consist of:
1) to replace a connecting rod 11 originally fitted with a
new rod of predetermined length;
2) to provide a second eccentric control arm 13 on
the output shaft of the speed reducer controlling the oscillation of the table 6, adjusting the phase shift with the first control arm at 1200 and mounting a second connecting rod 11 'on the second control arm 13';
3) install a reversing device 18 ensuring 60 stops
and reversals per minute and a suitable drive unit
15;
4) provide two longitudinal slides 12 for one of the
table crankshafts 6.
It is relatively easy to illustrate the process mentioned above by describing the modifications made
to an existing sawing machine, constituted by way of example by a mobile machine illustrated in FIG. 6.
In this known machine, the extreme position of an eccentric 13 always corresponds to the opposite extreme position of the other eccentric 13 '.
In practice, the table 3 of this machine 1 has its axis of rotation in the middle of the axes of the two eccentrics on which it is mounted at each of its end edges. The upper middle point C of the block, oscillates in a very weak arc of a circle, so that
the block almost always has its midpoint in contact with the blade (Figure 8).
The present invention aims to oscillate the table along a fairly wide path 23. In other words, if you consider, to facilitate understanding,
that the blade 3 moves relative to the block 7 and therefore that the blade 3 or the endless ribbon rotates substantially around point C, the present invention aims to move at any time, the rolling point of the blade relative to the block, along a fairly wide trajectory 23.
By making the modifications 1 to 4 listed above, we obtain a sawing machine in which
the contact arc 24 between the blade 3 and the stone 7 is considerably reduced. The pressure to be exerted on the
the blade can therefore be brought to an acceptable value, not causing any deformation of the blade. The quality of sawing is improved and the service life of this is extended.
It is obvious that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described above and that numerous modifications can be made to the latter, without however removing them from the scope of the invention.
Thus, the sawing machine according to the invention can comprise an endless ribbon instead of an armor blade.
This ribbon forms a closed loop which surrounds a part of the block 7. It is driven in continuous translation relative to the block and simultaneously undergoes a movement of advance in the sawing plane.
