Abstract

Hard surfaces for outdoor sports or games are produced by spraying a self curing binder resin system on to a layer of sand or gravel which has already been laid, levelled and compacted. The resin must be sufficiently mobile to permeate into the mass of the base in addition to coating the superficial particles. The particles must have rounded surfaces, i.e. water-eroded rived bed or beach aggregates. Used for prepn. of new surfaces or repair of old ones needing resurfacing. Avoids costs associated with prepn., transfer and laying of premixed aggregate/resin combinations. The rounded aggregate is highly resistant to choking, not having local asperities which break down in shear or compression within the pores.

Description

<EMI ID=1.1>

<EMI ID=2.1>

<EMI ID=3.1>

 "In situ manufacturing process for a coating

solo

The subject of the present invention is a process for the in situ manufacture of a covering for floors, and in particular for sports, gymnastic and playgrounds, for paths, terraces, etc .; process comprising a material in the form of powder and / or granules, gravel, as well as a binder to form at atmospheric temperature a solid aggregate after complete curing,

There are already various floor coverings that are manufactured in

situ and which are used mainly for the realization of sports grounds.

These coatings include materials agglomerated using

binders, but they have one or more of the various drawbacks, the main ones of which are as follows:

1. Materials and binders must be dosed, mixed and then transported to the location where the mixture will be poured; work which

is labor intensive given the considerable weights involved in manufacturing.

2. Difficulties and delicacy of manufacture to obtain a homogeneous coating and uniform color; work which

also requires a large workforce and which presents risks of bad manufacturing.

3. Rain permeability decreasing or disappearing quickly

by fouling due to the roughness of the coatings.

4. Rapid wear and discoloration of the coating.

5. Instability of colors to bad weather.

6. Lack of adhesion of the coating in the wet state.

7. Low lifespan.

8. Unpleasantly impossible or expensive.

The object of the invention is to remedy all these drawbacks, in particular to provide a coating, or patching process for old coatings, which is easy, quick, safe and inexpensive by considerably reducing the labor force on the site. .

To this end, according to the invention, the method consists in spraying the binder on the material - such as gravel - previously compacted and smoothed.

According to an advantageous embodiment, we will use river gravel "rolled" of rounded shapes without sharp edges with sharp angles whose dimensions are between 1 and

<EMI ID = 1.1>

According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the quantity and the viscosity of the sprayed binder allow it to cover the upper surface of the gravel situated on the surface of the coating and to run deep by coating the gravel to form after its complete crosslinking a solid aggregate of the desired thickness and permeable to water.

According to the invention, the binder used will be based on synthetic resins such as acrylic acid esters, polyurethanes,

<EMI ID = 2.1>

atmospheric and resistant to weathering, wear, aging and stable color.

According to the invention, wetting agents can be incorporated, as well as stable dyes or pigments intended to give

size- will increase the adhesion of the coating surface while: n making it more matte; while dusting granules with rubber powder, cork or other flexible substance will have: supplémentaire as an additional effect of giving the surface a certain ou flexibility.

According to the invention, the coatings thus produced can

It should be understood that the invention is in no way limited to the details of the process described above since many variants may be envisaged that may be outside the scope of this patent.
