Abstract
The aquatic toy has a main section formed of hollow hoops, of injection moulded plastics that can be used to make tunnels or geometrical figures. The hoops contain a ballast of lead, or any other material that is heavier than water, that occupies less than 40% of them. The hoops have at least two perforations in them but there are zones without perforations, opposite the ballast, that represent 10-50% of their perimeter. A float (A) holds the hoops on or near the surface and the hoops are clipped into notches in this.

DESCRIPTION

DESCRIPTION
This invention is designed to allow playing on and underwater at various depths.
The basic element of the game consists of plastic hoops (tubes).
Several hoops assembled form a tunnel or
a polyhedron.
Balancing of the hoops in suspension is obtained by drilling them or by ballasting them, as the case may be.
The assembly of two or more hoops can be done through floats.
These will be cut from rigid closed cell foam, or any other suitable material of good buoyancy, and they will have notches for attaching or hanging the hoops.
We can also hang several floats on the same hoop.
The combination of several floats and several hoops allows the realization of the most diverse figures. These figures allow to design many learning exercises and many games
on or below the surface of the water.
By connecting hoops, weighted or unweighted, we can form polyhedra: a cube, for example.
Use: pass through the hoops forming this cube (several possible ways, as well as swimmers crossing).
The invention consists in making available to swimmers and educators in the field of swimming adaptable and removable equipment composed of:
1) hoops. having varying degrees of buoyancy. of various diameters 2) ballast elements or suction cups
3) fasteners
4) floats
5) retractors
6) means creating dark areas.
Let's see these points, one by one:
l) - The hoops pierced with holes float horizontally and when they are plunged vertically into the water, they remain suspended, exceeding by a few centimeters the level of the water, in their upper part.
This adaptation offers many possibilities of use.
-The different diameters of the hoops allow them to be arranged concentrically for transport or storage.
Another advantage of the various diameters is that it makes it possible to adapt the installation to the physique of the swimmer and to the desired degree of difficulty.
2) -To keep the hoop at the bottom of the water, we
can ballast it p. ex. a lead bar that you slide inside the pipe.
This bar can serve at the same time as a pipe closure system: just force the pipe on the lead bar or block the assembly by any means.
-The hoop can also be anchored to the bottom of the water or along the edge of the pool by means of a suction cup fitted with a clip. In the case of horizontal fixing, the hoop will be perforated
(or ballasted with water), and the fixing can be done at any chosen height, in or on the water. . When a hoop is tied under a float
(see below), if a swimmer, passing inside, touches the hoop, it will take a while to return to its vertical position.
We will therefore have to ballast in such a case
the hoop or attach it to a weighted spacer.
3) Fasteners: they consist of Velcro strips,
laces or any other suitable means of connecting hoops.
4) The floats are elements to be placed at the
water surface and to which we can attach
one or more hoops.
An elegant technique consists in notching the float itself with a notch in which the hoop is fitted.
A float may for this purpose include one or more notches. It may also include a hole for passing there or fixing a rope. This rope can be a waterline, or used to tie a weighted hoop placed vertically at the bottom of the water. In this case, the role of the float is twofold: 1 [deg.] Keep the hoop at
vertical, 2 [deg.] view the location of the hoop.
5) Spacers: they are used to separate two hoops
from a certain distance.
The retractor is in the form of a bar or a rigid tube. At each end there is a way to hang the tube from a hoop.
This means can be a rope that is tied around the hoop, or a clamp in which the hoop is blocked.
The same retractor can be ballast for example by introducing a lead bar inside the rigid tube constituting the spacer. This weighted spacer allows two hoops to be removed at the bottom of the water.
6) By surrounding the passage between two hoops placed
face to face at a certain distance (for example at
50 cm), we create a shadow area.
-This shadow area is created by means of a fabric, plastic, net or any flexible obscuring sheet stretched between the two hoops by means of hooks, cords or any other fastener.
A tunnel is thus formed.
By aligning several similar elements, one can form a tunnel of greater or lesser length. It is possible to cover only the upper part of the tunnel.
-The shadow area can also be created by closing a hoop with one or two foam elements adjusted or fixed to the hoop.
The foam element is precut from its center, so that the foam spreads as the swimmer passes, and then returns to its position.
It is understood that a hoop thus garnished must be well ballasted, if it is to be placed at the bottom of the water.
The philosophy of the game
The elements described above allow, by their variety and their possibilities, the realization of an unlimited number of aquatic games, according to the educational objectives or the imagination of the trainers and the users.
This system allows swimmers of all levels, from beginners to experienced swimmers, to improve their skills while having fun, and also to manage to surpass themselves, learning to dominate themselves in all circumstances.
