Description

[Specification] [Title of the invention]
Placard supporter
[Field of the invention]
The present invention relates to a placard supporter, more particularly to the
placard supporter to support the placard for indoor or outdoor advertisements.
[Background of the invention ] The placard usually used for advertisements is generally tied at both sides to
supporters such as trees or to separate equipments. However, to tie to a tree is not only
illegal but also very hard, and it is impossible to use freely the equipment because it is
set up at a certain site.
Therefore, it is highly demanded to provide various types of placard
supporters by which the placard of any size can be set up freely regardless of place.
For example, Korean Utility Pat. No. 20-203054 discloses the structure to set
up a placard which comprises weights in the lower position and elastic poles. According
to this technology, a placard can be supported stably by using weights, but there are
some drawbacks that the size of placard to be set up is restricted, the placard may be
banged or flapped, and the pole may be deflected in the severe wind since the wind pressure is only absorbed in the pole in the use of outdoors.
[Detailed Description of the Invention]
The present invention was invented to overcome the defects associated with
conventional technologies, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a
placard supporter which various sizes of placards can be posted on, and can maintain
the stably spread state by absorbing the wind pressure effectively in the strong wind
condition.
To solve above-mentioned technical problems, the placard supporter of the
present invention comprises, two or more weights; one or more lower supporting stick
fixed between the weights; vertical bars secured on each weight, comprising an elastic
deflection element; an upper supporting stick secured between the upper ends of the
vertical bars; a lower placard supporting stick mounted on one of the weights by
employing an elastic element; an upper placard supporting stick mounted on the vertical
bars or the upper supporting stick.
That is, in the present invention, not only a placard can be supported stably at
both sides of the placard since two or more weights are used, but also a placard is stably
supported under the severe wind since the elastic element is mounted in the lower part
of the placard and a separate elastic deflection element is provided to the vertical bars,
on which a placard is mounted, to absorb the wind pressure doubly and to prevent defection of each supporting bar or stick.
In this, the weights can be composed of a heavy material, or for the
convenience of treatment a space for storing fluid is formed inside so as to carry easily
when not used. For this, a fluid inlet is formed on the upper surface of the weights. The lower supporting stick is for supporting the adjacent weights by joining,
and can be fixed in various ways. For example by forming a groove, in which a part of
the lower support stick is inserted, on the upper surface of the weights, the lower
supporting stick can be fixed in the state of being inserted in the groove. In this case, for
more stale fixing an insert hole is formed vertically at the end of the groove, and both
ends of the lower supporting stick are bent to be inserted in the insert hole, this can
sustain horizontal force
For preventing the lower supporting stick from separating out and beautiful
external appearance, a cover which covers the surface of each weight can be provided
on the upper part of the weights. In this case, the fluid inlet can be formed in the portion where the cover doesn't
cover, but for the convenience of mounting it is desirable that a hole which corresponds
to the fluid inlet is formed in the center of the cover, and a stopple which joins a screw
thread formed in the hole and the fluid inlet is further provided, so as to cover both of
the hole and the fluid inlet. The stopple, if it is inserted by using the screw thread, not
only covers the fluid inlet but also prevents a cover from separating from the weights. Meanwhile, the vertical bars are fixed to the weights, and a special groove
mounted can be formed on the upper surface of the weights, but it is more preferable if
an insert groove, in which one of the vertical bars is inserted, is formed inside the
stopple, thus, the manufacturing and mounting of the weights become easy. The elastic element is for adapting various sizes of placards and maintaining the
placard spread tightly after mounted, and it is preferable to be fixed to one end of the
weights. The other end of the elastic element is combined in the state of the lower
placard supporting stick being inserted to the placard. After boring a hole in the placard,
the other end of the elastic element can be combined with the hole, or for the
convenience of mounting it can be easily mounted or separated by mounting a hook
having the same diameter with that of the supporting stick at the other end of the elastic
element.
To support the weights more stably, a ring can be formed at the other end of the
weights to insert a nail for fixing to the ground. Therefore, in the case of establishing on
the ground, the weight may be supported very stably by driving the nail into the ground
through the ring after filling the weights with fluid.
Meanwhile, both upper placard supporting stick and lower placard supporting
stick are for maintaining a placard spread by inserting to the upper and lower ends of the
placard, a stick with an invariable length can be used. However, in this case it occupies
large space in keeping, it is desirable to be composed of plural sticks, where the plural sticks are joined by an intermediate connector having a greater sectional area than that
of the stick, and elastic strings passing through inside the supporting stick longitudinally
are fixed to both ends of the upper placard supporting stick and the lower placard
supporting stick. Due to this, each stick can be kept separated from the intermediate connector
and folded when not used, thus, little space is needed in keeping.
Various sizes of placards can be used due to the elastic element, further to
expand the usage range, the vertical bar comprises a height controller. As the height
controller many kinds of shapes can be used, for example a telescope-shaped height
controller having plural sticks inserted one after another and adjusting height at each
joint with a fixing bolt from side.
For another example, the vertical bar comprises a fixing bar, a moving bar
which is inserted inside the fixing bar, and an intermediate fixer connecting the fixing
bar with the moving bar, where the fixing bar comprises an incised part formed at one
end of the fixing bar to change a diameter of the hole, and screw threads formed
adjacent to the incised part, and the intermediate fixer comprises an inclined part which
presses the incised part to the center.
In this case, by drawing out the moving bar from the fixing bar as needed
height and rotating the intermediate fixer, the inclined part in the intermediate fixer
presses the incised part and fixes the moving bar not to move. Therefore, it provides more beautiful appearance and also it is easy to use.
Meanwhile, the elastic deflection element can be composed in the shape of
joining both the end of the vertical bars with the more elastic material than that of
vertical bars, preferably a coil spring.
The upper placard supporting stick is mounted on the vertical bars or the
upper supporting stick using a couple of hooks, so it can be mounted conveniently.

[Embodiments]
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the placard supporter according to the present
invention will be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Referring to Fig. 1, the present embodiment 100 forms in the shape of
rectangular frame, and a couple of weights 110 are located at the lowest part. The
weights 110 can be manufactured from a substance having a high density, but for the
convenience of treatment it comprises a light weight material and a space for storing
water. Also, at the front end of the weights a ring 112 is formed through which an end of
coil spring 210 is fixed.
A cover 120 is mounted on the upper surface of the weights 110 in the shape of
contacting with the upper surface of the weights. The cover 120 not only provides
beautiful appearance by covering the upper surface of the weights, but also plays a role
for the lower supporting stick 140, which will be mentioned later, not to separate out. The cover 120 is combined with the weights through a stopple 130, the correlation
between them will be described below.
A couple of lower supporting sticks 140 are combined between the weights.
The lower supporting stick 140 is composed of steel pipe, and the number of the pipe
can be adjusted according to the feature of the location where a placard is mounted.
That is, as is illustrated two supporting sticks can be used, and one stick can be used in
the case of using in the stable environment like indoor. Each supporting stick 140 is
fixed tightly not to be separated from the weights. Referring to Fig. 3, in both ends of
the supporting stick 140 a bent portion 142 is formed. The bent portion 142 is inserted
in the insert hole formed in the weights and covered by a cover. The detailed correlation
thereof will be described below.
A fixing bar 150 is mounted on a stopple 130 respectively. The fixing bar 150
can be mounted on any part of the weights 110, but as is illustrated it is desirable to
form a groove in the stopple 130 and insert in it. A part of a moving bar 160 having a
smaller diameter than that of the fixing bar 150 is fitted into the upper part of the fixing
bar 150 and an intermediate fixer 170 connects tightly the fixing bar 150 with the
moving bar 160.
In the upper end of the moving bar 160 a coil spring 162 is contacted as a
deflection element. The coil spring 162 is provided to deflect and absorb a wind
pressure when the wind pressure on a placard is high. At the other end of the coil spring 162 a corner portion 164 bent to 90° at the center is connected, and in the corner
portion 164 a hook 166 to hang a placard is mounted.
The hook 166 is, as illustrated, extended to protrude from the corner portion
164 and has the shape of the end portion bent to upward, and the upper placard
supporting stick 200 is mounted on and supported by. The upper placard supporting
stick 200 is, as illustrated in Fig. 4, the shape of connecting three hollow pipes 202a,
202b, 202c by an intermediate connector 204, and the intermediate connector 204 has
the same inner diameter with outer diameter of the hollow pipe. Also, stopples 206 are
inserted in both ends and the both ends of a rubber string 208 passing through the
hollow pipe are fixed to the stopples 206, respectively.
Therefore, the placard supporting stick 200 maintains the state of connected by
the rubber string 208 all the time, if joined by the intermediate connector it can be
combined tightly with separation due to the tension strength of the rubber string, and
when not used as is illustrated in the lower part of Fig. 4, it can be kept folded and the
space for keeping is minimized.
When the upper supporting of a placard is completed by connecting the upper
placard supporting stick 200, inserting it to the upper part of a placard, and mounting it
on the hook 166, the placard is stably supported with a hole bored at a point of the
placard correspond to the position of the hook. A lower placard supporting stick 200' is mounted on the lower part of the placard. The lower placard supporting stick 200' has the same structure with the upper
placard supporting stick 200 and the explanation on the structure is omitted. Meanwhile,
the lower placard supporting stick 200' is combined with the weights 110 by an elastic
element, preferably a coil spring 210. In this time, the coil spring 210 is maintained
tensioned by controlling the height of the moving bar 160. Due to this, a placard
maintains always spread, and in case of wind the wind pressure on the placard is
absorbed primarily by the tension of the coil spring 210, secondarily by the deflection of
the coil spring 164 between the moving bar 160 and the corner portion 164, which
allows again to absorb the wind pressure effectively and further, resulting in prevention
from placard's banging or flapping in the wind. Finally, an upper supporting stick 180 is
fixed between a couple of corner portions 164.
Referring to Fig. 5 -7, a screw thread 152 is formed around the end of the fixing
bar 150, and 4 tightening portions 154 are formed at the end of it. The tightening portion
154 is comprise by forming an incised part in the shape of '+' at the end of the fixing bar
150, and the outer surfaces are formed to be inclined to center.
Spaces for inserting the fixing bar 150 and the moving bar 160 are formed
inside of the intermediate fixer 170, and an inclined part 172 inclined to the same
direction with the tightening portion 154 is formed between two spaces. Also, a screw
thread is formed on the inner wall of the space formed in the side of the fixing bar 150
and is joined with the screw thread formed on the fixing bar 150. By rotating the intermediate fixer 170 and moving it to the state like in Fig. 6,
the moving bar 160 can move freely in the fixing bar 150. In this state, by locating the
moving bar 160 in a needed location, and then rotating the intermediate fixer 170 in the
opposite direction, the inclined part 172 of the intermediate fixer 170 and the tightening
portion 154 of the fixing bar 150 are contacted, the intermediate fixer 170 moves further
to the fixing bar, and the inclined part 172 presses strongly the surface of the tightening
portion 154, and fixes the moving bar 160 tightly with the tightening portion 154 being
deflected to the center. Through this, the height can be controlled freely.
Referring to Fig. 8-Fig. 10, a fluid inlet 114, which communicates with the
inner space, is formed on the surface of the weights 110, and a screw thread is formed
on the inner wall of the fluid inlet 114. Besides, a hole 122 is formed on the cover 120
correspond to the location of the fluid inlet 114, and a screw thread is formed on the
inner wall of that. Meanwhile, the stopple 130 has the same shape with a bolt as a whole,
joins with the screw thread formed on the inner wall of the fluid inlet 114 and the hole
122, and makes the cover 120 fix to the weights 110. An insert groove is formed inside
and the fixing bar 150 is inserted in it to support.
Also, an insert groove 118 for accepting the end of the lower supporting stick
140 is formed on the upper surface of the weights 110, an insert hole 119 extended
vertically is formed on inside of the insert groove 118, and the bent portion 142 of the
lower supporting stick is inserted here and fixed. Therefore, the lower supporting stick is in the state of being inserted in the insert groove 118 and a cover covers the upper
surface, so it is not separated and can be fixed stably. A ring 113 is formed in an end of
the weights, and if a nail for fixing 116 is inserted through the ring 113 to the ground,
the weights can be supported more stably. Meanwhile, the example, in which two weights are used, was given in the
embodiment, but depending on the size of placard three or more weights can be used. In
this case the same weights as mentioned above are used in both ends, and in the weight
located in the center the insert groove 118 is formed to cross the surface of the weights. Also, an end of the coil spring 210 was explained to pass through a placard
and combine with the lower supporting stick in the embodiment, but another
embodiment with easy mounting and separating can be considered by mounting a ring-
shaped hook of at the end of the coil spring 210. Similarly, if the hook 166 which fixes
the upper placard supporting stick is, as is illustrated in Fig. 11, the hook 166' having
the same inner diameter with that of the supporting stick, it can be easily mounted
without boring a hole in a placard.
[Industrial Applicability]
According to the present invention comprised as above mentioned, various
sizes of placards can be easily mounted, because wind pressure is absorbed doubly the
placard is supported more stably in case of setting up outside, the parts except for elastic parts are remains in the state of non-deflected, placards maintains the state of not much
deflected, and the effects of advertisements are improved.
Besides, vertical bars are supported by weights, the weights can be fixed
tightly to the ground through a nail for fixing, so it can be supported more stably.
