Abstract

The coupling is placed between the wishbone (7) and mast (2) of a sail board. It consists of a V shaped piece (8), pivoted (9) on both of the wishbone arms. These hold the mast when sail force acts on the wishbone. The wishbone arms each have seatings (10) which are intended to receive pivots carried by the V shaped part. The V shaped part is covered with a protecting cord of synthetic rubber (13). The seatings are open grooves and sail force prevents the pivots from leaving these grooves.

En général, la tête du wishbone est fixée au mât à l'aide d'un cordage. Une extrémité de celui-ci est fixée au mât par un noeud de cabestan, lequel est suivi de deux tours morts puis d'un transfilage au travers d'un ou plusieurs trous prévus à cet effet dans la tête du wishbone. L'autre extrémité dudit cordage est ensuite soit frappée sur un taquet, soit assujettie dans un coïnceur porté par un bras du wishbone.

  
Ce mode de fixation traditionnel rend malaisé le réglage en hauteur du wishbone, réglage nécessaire tant en ce qui concerne la taille de l'utilisateur que les conditions de vent.

  
La présente invention a pour but de fournir une solution à ce problème. A cet effet, un dispositif de liaison entre wishbone et mât de planche à voile conforme à l'invention consiste en un élément substantiellement en forme de V, pivoté sur chacun des deux bras du wishbone et destiné à enserrer le mât lors de l'étarquage du point d'écoute de la voile sur ledit wishbone.

  
Pour plus de clarté, un exemple de réalisation de l'invention est décrit ci-après avec référence aux dessins annexés, dans lesquels :
la figure 1 représente schématiquement une planche à voile et sert à localiser le dispositif selon l'invention; la figure 2 est une vue perspective, à échelle agrandie, de la partie indiquée en F2 à la figure 1; la figure 3 représente, en perspective, la pièce de liaison en V constituant l'élément principal de l'invention; et la figure 4 est une vue en plan du dispositif représenté à la figure 2.

L'élément 8, engagé au travers de l'échancrure 12 usuelle de la voile 4, est destiné à venir enserrer le mât lorsque le point d'écoute 6 est étarqué sur le wishbone 7. Cet étarquage empêche que les tenons 9 sortent des rainures 10.

  
On remarque que la hauteur d'application de l'élément 8 sur le mât 2 peut être aisément modifiée en fonction de la taille du pilote et/ou des conditions du vent.

  
L'élément 8 peut être avantageusement pourvu d'un revêtement protecteur 13, par exemple en caoutchouc synthétique, téflon ou similaire.
