<EMI ID=8.1>

<EMI ID=10.1>
<EMI ID=11.1>
Pipe suspension device.
The present invention relates to a new suspension device, of the clamp type, for fluid circulation pipes, namely heating pipes,
discharge, air conditioning etc.
Several kinds of pipe hangers are known in the form of a collar.
These devices should generally be adjustable
in height in order to be able to ensure a certain slope of flow of the piping installation and to compensate for certain differences in level-of the construction. In the case of the use of these devices for heating pipes in particular, they must also have a low mobility allowing
to resume deformations due to expansion by
the heat.
Thus, we find on the market necklaces in notched or perforated bands allowing a height adjustment and ensuring a slight mobility of the suspension.
There are also necklaces attached to a
threaded rod through a ball housing ensuring mobility, the height adjustment being
be carried out using a nut corresponding to the
threaded shaft.
All these known devices, however, have the disadvantage of being relatively expensive since they generally consist of several elements
of complicated shapes which are difficult to implement.
By this fact, the operator must transport with
him a series of different elements that must be assembled on site, which makes an installation of piping even more expensive.
The object of the present invention is to provide
a new pipe hanger, of a simpler design and therefore being less expensive while having the required characteristics.
The object of the present invention is achieved by providing a pipe hanger comprising a punched and folded thin strip of
so as to form a collar around the pipe to hang
and to present, thanks to the sudden forming, an adjustable fixing means of a threaded rod.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, said strip comprises six zones, the first, the fourth and the last zones having an assembly means at their centers, the second and third zones being symmetrically opposite with respect to the limit separating them and each having an elongated perforation in the direction of the length of said strip, perforation limiting the height adjustment of the suspension, a perforation being centered on the limit between these two zones and the spacings between this latter perforation and the perforations elongated
being stamped so as to be fitted around
said threaded rod, the fifth zone having a length sufficient to bypass the pipe to be suspended.
Said thin strip is folded in such a way
the first and second zones are folded
on the third and the fourth zones so that the elongated perforations correspond and that the fifth zone can be bent around the pipe so that the means of assembling the first, the fourth and
of the sixth zones correspond.
According to the invention, the stamped spacings surrounding the threaded rod after folding may include a thread in which the threaded rod engages. This net must obviously be assembled after folding the strip.
According to another preferred embodiment of the invention, the threaded rod is fixed to the folded strip, that is to say to the collar, in an adjustable manner by means
of two nuts, one of which is disposed in the elongated perforation against the stamped spacing and the second of which is disposed on the opposite side of said spacing.
The length of the fifth zone is therefore adapted to the perimeter of the pipe to be suspended.
Advantageously, the means of assembling the first, fourth and sixth zone can consist of
a bolt and a nut passing through the strip through a perforation. However, it can also consist of notches or a welding point, etc.
It will be noted that the collar is very simple to manufacture and that it is not necessary to assemble several elements on the site, apart from the fact that the threaded rod must be introduced into the collar.
With an advantageously chosen elongated perforation, the suspension device of the present invention allows sufficient height adjustment.
The threaded rod can obviously include
its end opposite the collar an additional device allowing a greater adjustment. She
can however be configured to be fixed directly in the wall or in the ceiling of the construction.
The invention will be described in more detail by means of the appended figures of the following description, without however limiting the scope of the present invention.
to the preferred embodiments which have been shown.
Figure 1 shows a thin punched strip deployed to form the collar of the pipe hanger according to the present invention; Figure 2 shows an example of folding the strip of Figure 1 allowing the operator to easily close the collar around the pipe on the site; Figure 3 shows a complete suspension device; Figure 4 shows another use of the device of the invention; and Figure 5 shows an additional adjustment means.
In Figure 1, there is shown a thin strip 1 which will be used to form the collar of the device of the invention.
Thin strip 1 has six identified areas
<EMI ID = 1.1>
each at least one assembly means which may consist of a perforation 2 used for assembly by screwing or riveting. Other joining means can be envisaged, for example a welding point.

elongated rations 3 and 4 symmetrical with respect to the line of separation between the two zones.
The distances 5, 6 between the perforations 3 and 4 and the perforation 7 arranged at the location of the line

When the strip 1 is folded up as shown in FIG. 2, the perforation 7 allows the passage of a threaded rod between the two half-shells 5, 6 until it abuts against the opposite ends of the elongated perforations 3, 4.
Zone Z5 corresponds to the part of the thin strip which surrounds the pipe to be supported. The length

You can advantageously modify the length of the zone

spacers between the punch and the die when punching the strip.
Advantageously, the suspension device can be delivered to the operator, in the preformed state, as shown in FIG. 2. The operator can then bend the primed thin strip around the pipe by means of a

long as the perimeter of the pipe so as to leave a certain clearance between the collar and the pipe which ensures an elasticity of the assembly and a sliding of the pipe in its collar during thermal expansion, without constraint of the pipe.
According to Figure 3, the threaded rod 9 is advantageously held in the collar by means of two nuts 10 and 11 tightened against the stamped parts
5, 6. These nuts 10, 11 serve as nuts and locknuts for adjusting and fixing the height of the pipe to be suspended. The stroke of the threaded rod 9 is limited by the length of the perforations 3, 4.
Advantageously, the perforations 3, 4 have the shape of tees which are symmetrical with respect to the
<EMI ID = 8.1>
of the core is slightly greater than the diameter of the threaded rod 9 and the head of which located on the side of the perforation 7 allows easy placement of a nut 10.
According to another embodiment, the cylindrical part formed by the two half-shells 5 and 6 can be tapped so as to receive the threaded rod
9 which may also be provided with a nut serving as a lock nut.
Advantageously, the threaded rod 9 has at its opposite end a suitable thread 12 to be fixed
in a ceiling, for example.
It can therefore be seen that the pipe suspension device according to the present invention is of very simple design; it also allows easy and easy assembly and the thin strip 1 can be manufactured in a single step.
If the adjustment clearance is not sufficient, an extension means can still be provided
of the suspension device.
So, as shown in Figure 4, by cutting
the collar at the point of separation between the zones

complementary 14 can receive, after folding, the other end of the extension strip cut to size.
The height adjustment of the suspension device of the invention can also be improved by the device shown in Figure 5. In this case, the threaded rod 9 is tightened at its opposite end by means of two nuts 15, 16 between two half -shells stamped in an adjustment element similar to the fixing of the threaded rod 9 in the collar.
A second threaded rod 19 is similarly tightened by means of the nuts 17, 18 at the other end of the adjustment element.
The mounting of the suspension device of the invention can be carried out as follows:
After fixing the threaded rod 9, the preformed thin strip 1 is bent around the pipe and the ends are tightened by means of pliers in order to

slides the collar on the pipe to bring it into position below the threaded rod 9 on which a first nut 11 has already been threaded. The threaded rod is engaged in the collar and the height is finally adjusted by means of the nuts 10 and 11.
