Description
"Werkwijze voor het vervaardigen van vuurbestendige gietwaren alsmede voor het onbrandbaar maken van allerlei stoffen en produkten" De onderhavige uitvinding betreft een werkwijze voor het vervaardigen van vuurbestendige gietwaren alsmede voor het onbrandbaar maken van allerlei stoffen en produkten.
Volgens een eerste uitvoeringsvorm van de uitvinding bestaat de bedoelde werkwijze in het laten uitreageren, in een gewenste gietvorm, van een mengsel van magnesiumoxyde, gehydrateerd magnesiumchloride en water.
Deze werkwijze kan aangewend worden voor het vervaardigen van bouwelementen zoals wandpanelen, elementen voor scheidingswanden, enz...
Aan het voornoemd reaktiemengsel kunnen verschillende ladingen toegevoegd worden, zoals krijt, vermiculiet, zand, calciumcarbonaat, glasvezels en dergelijke.
Naargelang de afmetingen en bestemming van de gietwaar kan daarin ook een bewapening ingebed worden, bijvoorbeeld in de vorm van vlies of mat uit glasvezels of uit rotswol.
Volgens een tweede uitvoeringsvorm van de uitvinding wordt het genoemd reaktiemengsel gebruikt om verschillende materialen te bekleden en/of te impregneren of nog om met een materiaal vermengd te worden.
Proeven hebben getoond dat de vlamvastheid van materialen zoals o.a. gebitumeerd kraftpapier, hout, spaanderplaten, na behandeling volgens de uitvinding, zeer aanzienlijk werd verlengd.
Welk ook de toepassing van de uitvinding, wordt het reaktiemengsel bekomen door het mengen van één gewichtsdeel magnesiumoxyde, van 0,4 tot 0,5 gewichtsdeel gehydrateerd magnesiumchloride en van 0,5 gewichtsdeel water.
Opgemerkt wordt dat magnesiumoxychloride reeds gebruikt werd als basis voor het zogenaamd Sorel cement, meestal voor het vervaardigen van monolitische vloerbekledingen. Ook werd het aangewend om porselein na te bootsen, bijvoorbeeld voor het

According to a second embodiment of the invention, said reaction mixture is used to coat and / or impregnate different materials or even to be mixed with a material.
Tests have shown that the flame resistance of materials such as, inter alia, bitumized kraft paper, wood, chipboard, after treatment according to the invention, was greatly increased.
Whatever the application of the invention, the reaction mixture is obtained by mixing one part by weight of magnesium oxide, from 0.4 to 0.5 part by weight of hydrated magnesium chloride and 0.5 part by weight of water.
