mères et polymères supérieurs à base de N-alkyl acrylamide ou méthacrylamide et leurs utilisations en cosmétique notamment dans des laques et lotions de mises en plis.
La présente invention a également pour objet le procédé de préparation de ces nouveaux copolymères.
Un grand nombre de polymères synthétiques ont déjà été proposés pour être utilisés dans des laques ou lotions de mise en plis.
La Société déposante vient de constater qu'il était également possible de réaliser d'excellentes laques et lotions de. mises en plis à l'aide d'une nouvelle classe de copolymères.
Ces polymères selon l'invention contrairement à ceux précédemment utilisés permettent de conférer aux laques et lotions de mises en plis d'excellentes propriétés et notamment une bonne tenue de la coiffure.
La présente invention a donc pour objet de nouveaux copolymères, et notamment des terpolymères,comportant des motifs résultant de la copolymèrisation :

Comme indiqué ci-dessus les copolymères selon l'invention sont de préférence des terpolymères. Toutefois, selon une variante les copolymères peuvent être des tétra, ou penta-polymères ou des polymères supérieurs.
Dans ce cas les copolymères résultent de la copolymérisation de plus d'un monomère de formule (I) et/ou de plus d'un monomère de formule (II) et/ou encore de plus d'un des monomères représentés par les formules (III) à (VIII)ci-dessus.
Les copolymères selon l'invention peuvent être représentés par la.formule générale suivante :

Les copolymères selon l'invention ont de préférence un poids moléculaire compris entre 1.000 et 500.000 et plus particulièrement un poids moléculaire compris entre 2.000 et 200.000.
Dans une forme particulière de réalisation les copolymères selon l'invention sont réticulés avec un agent de réticulation dans une proportion comprise entre 0,01 et 2 % en poids par rapport au poids total des monomères mis à réagir.
Parmi les différents agents de réticulation pouvant être utilisés, on peut en particulier citer : le diméthacrylate de diéthylène glycol, le diallyl éther, le tétra allyloxyéthane, le diméthacrylate de l'éthylène glycol et le diacrylate de l'éthylène glycol.
Selon une forme particulière de réalisation lorsque le radical R4 représente une fonction acide carboxylique libre, celleci peut être neutralisée avec au moins une base organique, telle que la monoéthanolamine, la diéthanolamine, la triéthanolamine, les isopropanolamines telles que la tri-isopropanolamine, la morpholine ainsi que certains amino-alcools tels que l'amino-2 méthyl-2 propanol et l'amino-2 méthyl-2 propanediol-1,3.
Les fonctions carboxyliques peuvent être neutralisées avec ces bases organiques dans une proportion comprise entre 10 et 150 %.
La présente invention a également pour objet un procédé
de préparation des copolymères tels que décrits ci-dessus..
Ces copolymères peuvent être préparés par copolymérisation en solution dans un solvant organique tel que les alcools, les esters, les cétones ou les hydrocarbures.
Parmi ces solvants on peut en particulier citer : le méthanol, l'isopropanol, l'éthanol, l'acétate d'éthyle, l'éthyl méthylcétone, le benzène, etc...
La copolymérisation peut également avoir lieu en suspension ou en émulsion dans un solvant inerte tel que l'eau.
La copolymérisation peut également avoir lieu en masse.
Ces copolymérisations peuvent.être effectuées en. présence d'un catalyseur de polymérisation générateur de radicaux libres, tel que le peroxyde de benzcyle, le peroxyde de làuroyle, l'azo bis-

La concentration en catalyseur varie entre 0,2 et 10 %
en poids par rapport aux monomères mis à réagir et en fonction du poids moléculaire des copolymères que l'on souhaite obtenir.
La présente invention a en outre pour objet l'utilisation des nouveaux copolymères décrits ci-dessus dans des compositions cosmétiques.
La présente invention a en particulier pour objet des compositions cosmétiques se présentant sous forme de laques ou de lotions de mises en plis.
Ces compositions cosmétiques sont essentiellement caractérisées par le fait qu'elles contiennent au moins un copolymère
tel que défini ci-dessus en solution dans un véhicule cosmétique approprié.
Les compositions cosmétiques selon l'invention peuvent être, par exemple, des laques pour cheveux se présentant ou non
sous forme aérosol, des lotions de mises en plis des compositions traitantes pour la chevelure, des supports de teinture, des shampooings ou encore des compositions dites "rinses" que l'on applique sur les cheveux après lavage de la chevelure à l'aide d'un shampooing.
A titre d'exemple une laque aérosol pour cheveux peut
être réalisée en conditionnant dans une bombe aérosol de 0,2 à 8 %
en poids d'un copolymère selon l'invention, de 6 à 30 % et de préférence de 8 à 25 % en poids d'un alcool, le reste étant essentiellement constitué par un gaz propulseur liquéfié sous pression tel
que le dichlorodifluorométhane, le trichlorofluorométhane, le protoxyde d'azote ou du gaz carbonique ou des mélanges de ceux-ci.
En tant qu'alcool on utilise de préférence l'éthanol ou l'isopropanol.
Les lotions de mises en plis selon l'invention peuvent
être par exemple réalisées en introduisant dans une solution hydroalcoolique ayant un titre de 20 à 66 % en alcool, de 0,3 à 6 %
en poids d'un copolymère selon l'invention.
Les compositions cosmétiques selon l'invention peuvent également contenir des adjuvants cosmétiques conventionnels tels
que des parfums, des colorants, des préservateurs, des plastifiants, des produits cationiques, des produits non-ioniques, des silicones pour améliorer la brillance ou d'autres résines cosmétiques.

EXEMPLES DE PREPARATION
DE COPOLYMERES
EXEMPLE 1
Dans un ballon d'un litre muni d'un réfrigérant, d'un agitateur mécanique et d'un tube adducteur d'azote, on introduit :

Dans cet exemple le copolymère préparé selon l'exemple 1 peut être remplacé par une quantité égale du copolymère préparé selon les exemples 5, 10-12 et 15.
EXEMPLE B
On prépare selon l'invention une laque pour cheveux en procédant au mélange des ingrédients suivants :

On conditionne 25 g de cette solution dans une bombe aérosol avec 47 g de trichlorofluorométhane et 28 g de dichlorodifluorométhane.
On obtient par pulvérisation de cette laque un bel aspect brillant de la chevelure ainsi qu'un fort pouvoir laquant.
Les cheveux sont doux au toucher et la laque s'élimine facilement par peignage ou brossage.
Dans cet exemple le copolymère préparé selon l'exemple 1 peut être remplacé par une quantité égale de copolymère préparé selon les exemples 3, 4, 6-8 et 10.

On prépare selon l'invention une laque aérosol pour cheveux en procédant au mélange des ingrédients suivants :

The copolymers according to the invention preferably have a molecular weight of between 1,000 and 500,000 and more particularly a molecular weight of between 2,000 and 200,000.
In a particular embodiment, the copolymers according to the invention are crosslinked with a crosslinking agent in a proportion of between 0.01 and 2% by weight relative to the total weight of the monomers reacted.
Among the various crosslinking agents which may be used, mention may in particular be made of: diethylene glycol dimethacrylate, diallyl ether, tetra allyloxyethane, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate and ethylene glycol diacrylate.
According to a particular embodiment when the radical R4 represents a free carboxylic acid function, it can be neutralized with at least one organic base, such as monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, triethanolamine, isopropanolamines such as tri-isopropanolamine, morpholine as well as certain amino alcohols such as 2-amino-2-methyl-propanol and 2-amino-2-methyl-1,3-propanediol.
The carboxylic functions can be neutralized with these organic bases in a proportion of between 10 and 150%.
The present invention also relates to a method
for preparing the copolymers as described above.
These copolymers can be prepared by copolymerization in solution in an organic solvent such as alcohols, esters, ketones or hydrocarbons.
Among these solvents, mention may in particular be made of: methanol, isopropanol, ethanol, ethyl acetate, ethyl methyl ketone, benzene, etc.
The copolymerization can also take place in suspension or in emulsion in an inert solvent such as water.
The copolymerization can also take place in bulk.
These copolymerizations can be carried out in. presence of a polymerization catalyst which generates free radicals, such as benzcyl peroxide, uroyl peroxide, azo bis-

The catalyst concentration varies between 0.2 and 10%
by weight relative to the monomers reacted and according to the molecular weight of the copolymers which it is desired to obtain.
A further subject of the present invention is the use of the novel copolymers described above in cosmetic compositions.
A subject of the present invention is in particular cosmetic compositions in the form of lacquers or styling lotions.
These cosmetic compositions are essentially characterized by the fact that they contain at least one copolymer
as defined above in solution in a suitable cosmetic vehicle.
The cosmetic compositions according to the invention can be, for example, lacquers for hair which may or may not present
in aerosol form, styling lotions, treating compositions for the hair, dyeing media, shampoos or even so-called "rinses" compositions which are applied to the hair after washing the hair using 'shampoo.
For example an aerosol hairspray can
be carried out by conditioning in a 0.2 to 8% aerosol can

The cosmetic compositions according to the invention can also contain conventional cosmetic adjuvants such as
as perfumes, dyes, preservatives, plasticizers, cationics, nonionics, silicones to improve shine or other cosmetic resins.

EXAMPLE 1
In a one liter flask fitted with a condenser, a mechanical stirrer and a nitrogen adductor tube, the following are introduced:

By spraying this lacquer, a beautiful shiny appearance of the hair is obtained as well as a strong lacquering power.
The hair is soft to the touch and the hairspray is easily removed by combing or brushing.
In this example, the copolymer prepared according to Example 1 can be replaced by an equal amount of copolymer prepared according to Examples 3, 4, 6-8 and 10.
