Description
"Procédé pour l'utilisation de scorie métallurgique"
La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé pour l'utilisation
d'une scorie métallurgique, applicable spécialement aux scories basiques
non phosphoreuses provenant de l'élaboration de l'acier.
Les scories métallurgiques produites par l'affinage d'une fonte
non phosphoreuse selon le procédé dans lequel on souffle de l'oxygène industriellement pur dans le convertisseur, ne trouvent actuellement que des
débouchés limités, largement inférieurs aux quantités disponibles.
Ces débouchés sont essentiellement soit l'agronomie où, à cause de sa teneur importante en CaO, cette scorie (en faible quantité) est utilisée pour amender la terre, soit l'addition à la charge du haut fourneau, malgré les frais de broyage et de refusion assez grands qui rendent l'opération économiquement peu intéressante. Le surplus important de scorie non utilisée est en général mis au terril, solution qui présente encore l'inconvénient de nécessiter des dépenses en pure perte, puisque le matériau est considéré comme irrécupérable.
La. présente invention a pour objet un procédé de traitement de ces scories basiques non phosphoreuses provenant de l'élaboration de l'acier, qui permet d'en récupérer la plus grande partie, sinon la quasi totalité.

Le procédé, objet de la présente invention, dans lequel on ajoute à la scorie liquide d'une part un réducteur et d'autre part des porteurs d'alumine et/ou de silice, est essentiellement caractérisé en ce qu'au moins une partie des dits porteurs d'alumine est ajoutée sous la forme de fondants, éventuellement au cours de l'élaboration de l'acier elle-même; on profite ainsi à deux reprises de l'effet fondant.
