Abstract

The spraying plant has a bulk liquid tank, usually for water, from which a high pressure pump supplies a spray nozzle to form a coned spray of hot or cold water or steam. Liquid chemical additives go from a separate tank, to be pumped separately to a second nozzle immediately adjacent to the first so that additives are injected directly into the main spray cone. The additives are confined to their own low pressure, low temperature system, so possible chemical aggression does not affect the main spraying system.
