Abstract
The additives consit of superbasic sulphonated derivs. of (1) plate oil extract; (2) heavy coking gas oil; (3) a cracked refinery distillate stream, (4) crude oil with API gravity at least 25 and at least 25 wt.% aromatic content; (5) at least 14C alkanes; (6) 7-18C branched alkenes, (7) an alkylation reaction prod. (I) of an aromatic hydrocarbon. and a 10-18C n-alkane with 2-15 wt.% Cl content; (8) and (7) with with 10-45% Cl, content, (9) (I) and a branched 10-35C alkene (19) (I) and a 10-18C n-alkyl aromatic hydrocarbon with 10-60% Cl content; (11) superbasic hydrocarbon sulphonates with average equiv. wt. 400 min. in combination with water sol. non-ionic surfactants; (12) oil-soluble sulphonate with average equiv. wt. 400 min. in combination with water-soluble sulphonate with average equiv. wt. 200-400 (13) combinations of (7) and (9) or (14) one of the above in combination with chelating agents of Na3PO4. H2O. Super-basicity ratios are 0.03-2 for (1,2,3,5,6,8,10 and 12), 0.03-3 for (4,7,9 and 13) and 0.03-5 for (11). They are readily available and cheap, and suitable in aq. solns. for secondary extraction of oil from underground formations.
