On connait de nombreuses réalisations de petits fauteuils adaptables plus ou moins bien dans les véhicules automobiles pour y transporter les enfants.
La plupart ne conviennent que pour des enfants qui peuvent déjà se tenir et rester assis pour un certain temps; d'autres fauteuils de l'espèce sont construits même pour des enfants en bas âge par le fait que l'usager peut facilement les utiliser dans la position assise, dans celle de couchette ou dans toutes les positions intermédiaires.
Ces dispositifs connus ne satisfont cependant pas aux conditions de sécurité et de confort qui s'imposent impérieusement eu égard au nombre croissant d'accidents graves.
L'objet de la présente invention consiste en divers perfectionnements qui donnent à l'enfant, même en bas âge, une fixation stable sur la banquette des véhicules tout en améliorant son confort.
Un des perfectionnements suivant la présente intention est oonstitué par une ceinture de sécurité harnais pour maintenir le thorax et le bassin de l'enfant, dont les sangles réglables en longueur se croisent dans le dos et ainsi tiennent bien sur les épaules pour se prolonger par le devant sous la forme de bretelles sur le thorax jusqu'au bassin, où elles s'attachent à une ceintura ventrale, le tout étant réalisé par une sangle unique de chaque côté de l'enfant, qu'une sangle d'entre-jambes empêche au surplus de glisser vers l'avant, les sangles au voisinage de l'épaule étant attachées de part et d'autre du dessus du dossier du siège d'enfant.

Dans les fauteuils utilisables comme siège ou comme couchette, un arceau d'appui des mains formant bouclier de protection, pivotant .et amovible, peut être attaché aux membrures du fauteuil.
De chaque côté latéral le fauteuil comporte pour la retenue
des épaules, de la tête et du bassin de l'enfant, des bords saillants dont la forme est maintenue par des armatures intérieures, abondamment capitonnées à l'égal du siège et du dossier.

Le fauteuil oouprend un siège proprement dit l,un dossier 2, une charpente de support de préférence en tuons métalliques 3, un repose pied 4, des bielles longitudinales à mouvements téléscopiques 5.

De semblables lanières de fixation 24 et 25 avec des dispositifs de réglage tel que 26 et des attaches d'ancrage 27 et
28 sont fixées au châssis inférieur du siège d'enfant et d'autre part à un point d'attache correspondant de la carrosserie du véhicule.,
Enfin un arceau 29 est assujetti sur les bielles téléscopiques 5 du siège, de manière à servir d'appui pour les avants-bras de l'occupant et de bouclier confortablement rembourré. Cet arceau peut être ouvert à la manière d'une porte et même être enlevé complètement, son moyen de fixation sur le châssis étant d'un type connu en soi.
Bien entendu le châssis du siège est de construction tubulaire robuste et-les deux côtés latéraux au niveau des jambes et de la tête, comportent une armature intérieure rigide en métal pour maintenir la forme extérieure, un ample capitonnage entourant ces armatures de toute part et amortissant les chocs éventuels.
