Abstract

Hot transfer consists of a support sheet of polyethylene terephthalate, and a layer of a thermoplastic acrylic resin which adheres to the support and is not pigmented, and a printing ink image which adheres to the acrylic resin layer and contains a linear thermoplastic polyamide. Specif., the acrylic resin is a polymer of a (meth)acrylic ester, and is applied at the rate of 0.5-2 g/m2. The transfer bonds firmly to plastic material esp. polyethylene and polypropylene. The support can be removed easily from the acrylic resin layer.
