Abstract

Machine for making hollow glass articles from glass tube comprising on a stand, a rotor having two plates placed one above the other joined by vertical tie bars, and carrying rotating pretensile heads holding the tubes, which by the movement of the rotor pass successively in front of heating torches arranged in fixed position outside the rotor with their flames directed at the tubes. A deflector is placed behind each tube at the level of the flames which passes the tube laterally on either side. Each deflector forms part of a continuous or discontinuous surface. The deflectors concentrate the heat of the flame on the tube, avoiding loss of heat and fuel.
