Sugar combined or associated with at least one other ingredient (I) used in the formulation of drinks, e.g. a flavouring, an organic acid, mineral salts, vitamins etc. is prepd. by moulding or compressing a mixture of sugar and (I) into individual pieces. They are dried at 15 - 100 degrees C and have a humidity of 0.5 - 2%. Pref. a mixture of saccharose and glucose is used and a press. of 0.5 - 5 kg/cm2.
