Abstract

Title cpds. are of formula (I): (where a and b are 0-20 and (a + b) is 2-30). Examples of I are perfluorodi-and tri-oxetane, perfluorodioxane etc. (I) are used as heat exchange fluids, refigerants, aerosol propellants, fire extinguishing agents and solvents. They are heat and oxygen stable, chemically inert, non-flammable and non-toxic, and have high dielectric constant. (I) are prepd. by a decomposn. reaction of a linear perfluoropolyether peroxide.
