 la présente invention est relative à des perfectionnements aux roues de véhicules équipées de Preumatiques,   nota::::lent   aux roues mentées sur des véhicules lourds tels que camions,   autobus   etc. 



   Il a été fréquemment constaté que les tambours de freins logés à   l'inté.-   rieur dea roues sont la cause d'un échauffement de la jante de ces roues et des parties du pneumatique se trouvant en contact avec la jante ou à proximité de celle-ci. Il arrive dans certains cas défavorables, per exemple dans le cas de véhicules équipés de freins très puissants roulant sur des   parcours   comportant des freinages fréquents ou prolongés, que la température de la jante atteigne 200  C en certains points.

   De telles températures sont   évidement   extrêmement préjudi- ciables au pneumatique équipant la roue et causent sa détérioration ou même sa destruction. la présente invention vise à protéger le pneumatique centre un échauffe- ment indésirable provenant du tambour de frein, ceci sans nécessiter de modifies- tion tant de la roue que du tambour de frein. 



   L'ensemble tournant suivant la présente invention, comprenant une jante à l'intérieur de laquelle est logé un tambour de frein, est caractérisé en ce qu'un écran est interposé entre la jante et le tambour de frein, afin de réduire la trans- mission de chaleur, notamment par rayonnement entre le tambour de frein et la jante. 



   L'écran suivant l'invention peut être une virole métallique dont la sur- face interne est de préférence polie pour   réfléchir   le rayonnement émis par le tambour de train porté à température élevée. Un exemple de métal convenant parti-   culiérement   bien est l'acier inoxydable.      



   L'écran peut également être en matériau non métallique, ayant un coef- ficient de conductibilité thermique aussi faible que possible. Dans ce cas la face   externe   émet par rayonnement soins de chaleur que la face interne n'en reçoit du tambour de frein. L'écran peut indifféremment être fixé sur la jante ou sur le tambour de frein ou être retenu entre les deux. De préférence, on utilisera une fixation utilisant un   emboîtement   ou un encastrement de l'écran ou de certaines de ses parties dans la jante ou le tambour de frein. 



   Les dessins annexés donnent, à titre non limitatif, trois exemples de réalisation de l'invention. 



   Sur chacune des figures 1 à 3 on a représenté en demi-coupe radiale un ensemble tournant suivant l'Invention. 



   Sur les figures 1 à   3,   on voit une roue1 pour un véhicule de la caté-   gorie     Poids-Lourds,   de dimensions 22.5 x 9 100. comportant une jante 2 et un disque 3. 



   La jante 2 comporte une gorge creuse 4, deux sièges de bourrelets incli- nés 5 et 6, deux rebords de jante recourbés 7 et 8. le disque 3 soudé à la jante, comporte des trous de ventilation 9, ainsi

 que des trous de fixation 10 au moyeu (non représenté). 



   Sur les diverses figures   on   voit d'autre part un tambour de frein 12, raxé égalent au   =oyeu.   Il comporte un certain nombre d'ailettes de refroidisse- ment 13. 



     Zntre   la   jante   2 et le tambour de frein 12, on interpose un écran 15 ayant la forme   générale   d'une virole en acier inoxydable ayant une épaisseur d'en-   viron   1 mm. 



   Sur la figure 1, l'écran 15 se compose d'une virole cylindrique dont une extrémité se trouve emmanchée dans la gorge creuse 4 de la jante, au moyen de bessages 16 en saillie radiale et espacés circonférentiellement et dont l'autre extrémité est fixée à la jante au moyen de pattes 17 prenant appui dans le rebord   recourba   7 de la jante et assemblées à la virole 15 par exemple au moyen d'un bou- lon 18. 



   L'écran 15 protège ainsi la partie intérieure de la jante 2 contre le rayonnement émis par le tambour 12. L'expérience a montré que la température de la jante qui, en l'absence de l'écran 15 pouvait atteirdre 240 C était, dans les mêmes conditions de roulage, réduite à 100 C lorsqu'on utilisait l'écran 15, ceci sans augmentation importante de la température du tambour 12. 



   Sur la figure 2, l'écran 15 se compose d'une virole cylindrique fixée au tambour de frein. A cet effet, la virole comporte deux gouttières 21 et 22 dans lesquelles viennent se placer deux ressorts à boudin annulaires 23 et 24 logea chacun entre deux ailettes de refroidissement 13 du tambour de frein. L'élasticité des ressorts suffit à maintenir en place la virole 15. la figure 3 représente une autre variante dans laquelle l'écran 15 a une force de cloche comportant une portion cylindrique 31, une portion tronconique 32 lui faisant suite et une portion plane 33 insérée entre tambour de frein 12 et disque de roue 3. Cette portion plane est percée de trous correspondant aux trous de fixation 10 du disque de roue 3. Dans cette variante l'écran 15 est   fixe   en même temps que la roue 1.

   La portion tronconique 32 est percée de trous de ventilation 34 qui correspondent également aux trous 9 du disque de roue. 



   Dans les trois variantes décrites, l'écran peut être fixé soit à la jante, soit au tambour de frein, cela sans modifier ni la roue,ni les organes de freinage. Il serait naturellement possible, sans sortir du cadre de la présente invention, d'apporter soit une modification, soit une adjonction à la roue ou au tambour de frein pour assurer la fixation de l'écran.

   Such temperatures are obviously extremely prejudicial to the tire fitted to the wheel and cause its deterioration or even its destruction. the present invention aims to protect the tire against undesirable heating originating from the brake drum, without requiring any modification to both the wheel and the brake drum.



   The rotating assembly according to the present invention, comprising a rim inside which is housed a brake drum, is characterized in that a screen is interposed between the rim and the brake drum, in order to reduce the transmission. heat mission, in particular by radiation between the brake drum and the rim.



   The screen according to the invention may be a metal ferrule, the internal surface of which is preferably polished to reflect the radiation emitted by the train drum brought to high temperature. An example of a particularly well suited metal is stainless steel.



   The screen can also be made of a non-metallic material, having as low a coefficient of thermal conductivity as possible. FIG. 3 shows another variant in which the screen 15 has a bell force comprising a cylindrical portion 31, a frustoconical portion 32 following it and a flat portion 33 inserted between the brake drum 12 and the wheel disc 3. This flat portion is pierced with holes corresponding to the fixing holes 10 of the wheel disc 3. In this variant the screen 15 is fixed at the same time as the wheel 1.

   The frustoconical portion 32 is pierced with ventilation holes 34 which also correspond to the holes 9 of the wheel disc.



   In the three variants described, the screen can be fixed either to the rim or to the brake drum, without modifying either the wheel or the braking members. It would naturally be possible, without departing from the scope of the present invention, to make either a modification or an addition to the wheel or to the brake drum in order to secure the screen.
