It is that basic construction which the present invention uses to make the display cardboard box and; which does not require additional cardboard in the form of panels or flaps.
According to the present invention, the display panels are provided by slitting, in the longitudinal direction, the front wall of the cardboard box. Support is provided for the end of the cap of the object by pleating and providing openings in the front wall and part of the end flap, as described in French patent application No. 123,200 of October 3, 1967, filed by the same Applicant. Support is provided at the opposite end of the object by cutting a flexible support in the front panel, this flexible support being connected either to the end walls or to the side walls by the display panels.
Thus, by simply cutting and creasing the structure of the current cardboard box for the ordinary or reverse folded cardboard box, it is possible to make a presentation cardboard boot having a backing, both from the end. cap and affixed end of the object.

tone from which the box is formed, in cardboard of figures 12 to 14.
In FIG. 1, there is seen a cardboard box of the display type indicated at 20 which is intended to contain an object 21, the end 22 of which of the cap is arranged at the lower end of the box in car ', we and the crimped end 23 of which is disposed at the upper end of the cardboard box. As indicated above, the cardboard box is particularly suitable for use with crimped plastic tubes, although its application is not necessarily limited to this particular object.
The blank 24 from which the cardboard box is made is shown in Fig. 5 and comprises, connected in series, a side wall 25. a front panel or wall 26, a side wall 27, a rear parei 28 and a flap. sticky 29. The walls 25 to 28 and the sticky flap 29 are articulated to one another along the longitudinal indentations or folds 30.
This is a reverse folded cardboard box, unlike an ordinary folded cardboard boot, the reverse folded cardboard box being distinct from the ordinary folded cardboard box by the placement of One end flap on the front wall and the other end flap on the rear wall. As shown, a lower end flap 35 is hinged along a shallow crease 36. V to the outer wall 26 and includes an end panel 37 having a re-entrant flap 38.
The flap 35 cooperates with two side flaps 39 which lie above the end flap 55 to enclose the lower end of the carton.
At the upper end of the cardboard box, a flap 40 is connected along a fold 41 to the rear wall 28 and comprises an end panel 42 and a re-entrant flap 43. Lateral ribs 44 cooperate with the flap. end 40 and; located under this latter, to close the upper end of the cardboard box the front wall or panel 26 has a central tent 50 extending in the longitudinal direction, which divides the front wall into two display panels 51 and 52. Inner ends

display panels 51 and 52 are connected to parts 53 and 54 forming wedges !! oblique along folds 55 and 56.
The parts 53 and 54 have free bends 57 which delimit an opening 58 receiving the cap. the slits which form the free edges 57 of the corner portions leave a retaining flap 59 hinged to the end panel 37. The flap 59 is normally folded against the end wall of the cardboard box and hooks a lip protrusion provided on the object's cap to help hold the object in the cardboard box.
The constructiv--, with oblique corners which has just been described is more fully in the aforementioned French patent application No. 123.200 and constitutes the preferred form of the support structure of the end of the cap, although it is It is possible to use another form of hat support structure as described in U.S. Patent Application No. 563,285, July 6, 1966, filed by Orison Winfield STONE.
Two longitudinally extending slits 65 are provided in the front panel 26 at a position between its ends and extend approximately parallel to the central slit 50 and terminate in a V-shaped slit 66. to form a tongue 67. The tongue 67 comprises two bands 68 which are formed by the slots 50 and 65. The bands 66 are connected by their lower ends 69 along folds 69a to the display panels 51 and 52 and either mutually connected by their upper ends to form a tab 70 along a fold 70a.
The top of the inverted V-slot 66 intersects a tram-vernal slot 71 which delimits a display panel 72 and clears the display panels 51, 52 and support strips 68 to flex inwardly.
The box is formed on @@ rton by fusing the sticky flap 29 to the side wall 25 to obtain a tube. The lower end of the cardboard box is closed to form an end wall by folding the side flaps 39 over the lower end of the cardboard boot by folding the end panel 37 over. desseo les ra @ ats 39

The lower end of the overhead box is constructed in a manner analogous to that of the first embodiment and includes an end flap 135 having an end purlin 137 and a tuck-in flap 138 which operates with side flaps 139 to close the lower end of the cardboard boot.
At the top end, an end flap 140 is hinged to the same wall as the inner end flap 135 (show an ordinary folded cardboard box) and includes an end panel 142, a tuck-in flap 143 which operates. with side flaps 144 to crimp the upper end of the cardboard box.
The support of the end of the cap is formed by the one-piece oblique corner structure which comprises the parts 153 and 154 forming the oblique corners, connected to display panels 151 and 152 along folds 155 and 156.
The front panel has a centrally extending slit 150 extending in the longitudinal direction which, in part, forms the display panels 151 and 152. The front wall also has two slits 165 extending in the longitudinal direction, which are interconnected. In the embodiment of figures 6 and 7, the force applied to the support strips 168 and in particular to their point of connection 169 to the display panels is reduced compared to the first embodiment this embodiment, because in the second embodiment, these appear to exert a greater resistance to tearing.
The third embodiment of the invention is shown in Figures 8 to 11. The general construction of the cardboard box is substantially the same as that described in conjunction with the first two embodiments and will not be described in detail below. . The carton boot blank shown in Fig. 11 constitutes a modified reverse folded carton boot in which the top end flap 240 does not fit into the carton as in prior embodiments. , but rather covers the anterior wall, as will be described below.
This cardboard boot includes a front wall or panel 226 which has a longitudinally extending central slot 250 which divides the front panel into display panels 251 and 252. The front panel construction at the end bottom or cap of the cardboard box is substantially the same as described in previous embodiments.
Between the ends of the front wall 226, a group of slits 276 are formed in the front wall to create a first array of support strips 277, this array being connected to and supported from display panels 251 and 252 therefrom by uncut connection joints 278. Optionally, the presentation boards can be replayed through a network shown at 280 at the upper ends of the presentation boards. The second network is partially intended to provide support for the crimped end of a tube and is formed on each side by three oblique tents 281, in each display panel, the oblique tents delimiting two bands 282 forming a re - bucket by which the second network is connected to the presentation panels and is supported by them.
Immediately adjacent to the second array 280 are two slits 284 which are intended to receive tabs 285 formed on a re-entrant flap 243 of an end flap 240.
As shown in Figures 8-10, the cardboard box is erected in a manner analogous to that of a reverse folded cardboard boot, except that the tuck-in flap 243 is connected to the display panels by inserting the tabs 285. in the slots 284, so that the re-entrant flap covers the second network 280. When an object is introduced into the cardboard box thus erected, the crimped end 23 of the object is introduced between the display panels 251, 252 and the re-entrant flap 243, so that the crimped end of the tube rests on the second network 280, as shown in particular in figure 10.
The action of inserting the tube into the cardboard box causes the display panels to lower inwards, so as to bend the bands 277 of the first array to the shape shown in figure 9. Then, one introduces abruptly the end of the cap of the tube into the lower end of the cardboard boot in the manner described in conjunction with the first two embodiments.
A fourth embodiment of the invention is shown in Figures 12 to 15. This can be distinguished from the previous embodiments, mainly in that

This belief has in common with previous reslisation forgeas, that the object support comes from the front wall or panel of the cardboard box.
The flan. from which the cardboard boot is made is shown in Fig. 15. Equally, this cardboard boot is of box, modified reverse folded cardboard having a; top end flap 340 which includes a tucked-in flap 343 having lengths 385 which can be inserted into tents 384 provided in display panels.
351 and 352. In contrast to the usual reverse folded cardboard box, the cardboard box of Figures 12 to 15 includes an additional, top end flap 390 which is hinged to the front wall along a fold. 391.
The front wall or / ring 326 has two longitudinally extending slits 392 and 393 which define display panels 351 and 352 and which also define an object support strip 594 which extends over the entire length. length of the cardboard boot. The band 394 is connected at its upper end 395 to the flap 390 and is connected at its lower end 396 to a lower end flap 335 hinged to the front wall.
The cardboard box is formed generally as described in conjunction with the first three embodiments, except that the flap 390 is folded over the display panels 351 and 352 and the end flap 340 is folded across. from the end of the cardboard box, so that the tucked-in flap 343 covers the flap 390. The tabs 385 are inserted into the slots 384 to secure the end flap in place.

The longitudinal support strip contacts the body of the object along its length when the end 22 of the cap of the object is inserted into position in the lower end of the cardboard boot.
The strip 394, being supported by both ends of the cardboard boot, maintains the object in an attractive display position towards the face of the cardboard box.
It goes without saying that the invention has been described above for explanatory purposes but in no way limiting and that any detailed modifications can be made to it in accordance with its spirit without departing from its scope.
