La présente invention est relative à un meuble transformable et spécialement à un meuble pouvant se transformer en un bureau de travail ou en un lit.
Dans certaines habitations ou certains appartements il est parfois nécessaire ou utile de réduire le nombre de pièces occupées; de ce fait, certaines de ces pièces peuvent avoir des destinations différentes selon le moment de la journée; c'est ainsi, par exemple, qu'il est possible de séjourner ou de travailler dans une pièce au cours de la journée alors que pendant la nuit, cette pièce sert de chambre à coucher.
A cet effet,il a déjà été conçu des meubles transformables et notamment des divans transformables en lits. Cependant. bien qu'il y ait de nombreux autres meubles transformables il n'en existe pas qui sont spécialement agencés pour constituer aussi bien un bureau de travail qu'un lits moyennant quelques manoeuvres ou opérations simples pour réaliser la transformation au moment voulu.
La présente invention se propose de fournir une solution à ce problème en prévoyant un meuble transformable se caractérisant en ce qu'il comporte dans une carcasse unique au moins deux compartiments superposes dont la cloison de séparation horizontale se trouve à la hauteur d'une table de travail.
Suivant une caractéristique, la carcasse est en forme de pont et possède au-dessus de la cloison de séparation horizontale un bureau et éventuellement une partie à destination quelconque tandis que sous la dite cloison se trouve un compartiment @@tenant un lit.
Suivant une autre particularité, le compartiment supérieur

est pourvu d'un panneau de .fermeture basculant qui, en position abattue, horizontale, constitue la tablette de travail du bureau alors que le compartiment inférieur possède aussi un panneau de fermeture basculant qui, en position-abattue sur un élément de soutien, se place au niveau d'une plaque horizontale inférieure et forme aveccelle-ci un support de matelas pour constituer un lit qui se replie suivant la longueur lors de la fermeture du dit panneau.
D'autres particularités pourront apparaître dans la description suivante des dessins annexés qui montrent,à titre illustratif seulement,un exemple de réalisation de l'invention*

La figure 1 est une vue schéma tique,en élévation, de face, d'un meuble exécuté suivant l'invention avec des brisures partielles, la tablette du bureau étant en position abattue et le panneau de fermeture du compartiment inférieur étant en position fermée.
Les figures 2 et 3 sont des vues en coupe suivant II-II de la figure 1.
Le meuble considéré est constitué par une carcasse 1 en forme de pont comprenant deux flancs latéraux 2 et 3 réunis par un plateau supérieur 4 et par une paroi arrière 5. A un niveau donné correspondant à la hauteur d'une table de travail et, de préférence,à environ 70 à 75cm du sol, se trouve une cloison horizontale 6 de séparation du meuble en au moins deux grands compartiments superposés, un supérieur et un inférieur.
Le grand compartiment supérieur est destiné à constituer un bureau et,à cet effet,il comporte des étagères 7 et des cloisons verticales 8, Ce grand compartiment supérieur ne s'étend que sur une partie de la longueur et est fermé par un panneau

de fermeture 9 qui bascule sur une charnière 10 autour d'un axe, horizontal, situé le long du bo rd antérieur 6a de la cloison 6 pour être amené dans la position abattue,horizontale, dans le prolongement de la dite cloison et constituer, de cette façon, une tablette de travail comme montré dans la figure 2; ce panneau 9 est soutenu dans la position abattue par des bras ou compas articulés de retenue 11.
A coté du compartiment formant bureau se trouve une autre partie à destination quelconque, 12, pourvue d'étagères de rangement 12a et fermée par une porte 12b.
Dans le compartiment inférieur se logo un lit. Dans ce but, ce compartiment possède à environ 20 centimètres du sol une plaque horizontale, inférieure, fixe ,13,dont le bord antérieur 13a se trouve à me plus grande distance de la paroi arrière 5 que le bord antérieur 6a de la cloison horizontale 6.
Le long de ce bord 13a se situe une charnière 14 d'un panneau basculant 15 de fermeture du compartiment inférieur. Quand ce panneau 15 est abattu en position horizontale, comme montré dans la figure 3' il se situe dans le prolongement de la plaque
13 et constitue avec cette dernière un support saur lequel se place un matelas 16 de largeur normale qui est maintenu à sa périphérie par un rebord 15a solidaire du panneau 15. Ce matelas peut être en mousse de plastique ou de caoutchouc ou en toute autre matière souple* Dans cette position abattue,la panneau 15 est soutenu par deux tiroirs 17 et 19 qui sont sortis des logements prévue sous la plaque 13 aux deux bouts du meuble, ce qui laisse libre un emplacement 21 pour les pieds quand on travaille au bureau.
Quand le panneau 15 est fermé,le matelas 16 est replié dans le cens do la longueur et occupa la position montrée dans la figure 2; 6tant donné que l'axe de basculement

du dit panneau 15 est plus écarté de la paroi arrière 5 que l'axe du panneau 9, le rebord 15a constitue alors un épaulement sur lequel le panneau 9 repose quand il est ouvert pour former la tablette de travail du bureau qui est ainsi soutenue par les bras articulés 11 et ledit épaulement, comme cela est visible dans cette figure 2; un verrou 18 maintient le panneau 15 en position de fermeture.
Les tiroirs 17 et 19 coulissent sur des glissières latérales 20 et peuvent être rentrés dans leurs logements*
Ltinvention n'est pas limitée à la réalisation décrite et il est possible d'y apporter certains aménagements sans- sortir de sa portée; ainsi les tiroirs 17 et 19 peuvent être supprimés, auquel cas le panneau 15 sera soutenu on position abattue par des pieds escamotables; de même encore,la planue 13 peut être coulissante. De plus, le grand compartiment supérieur peut avoir une autre destination qu'un bureau.
Un meuble selon l'invention est simple et très avantageux dans des pièces de faibles dimensions et à destinations variables car il peut, moyennant des manoeuvres simples, être spécialement approprié à au moins deux buta différents.
REVENDICATIONS.
1. Meuble transformable, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte, dans une carcasse unique, au moins deux compar- timents superposés dont la cloison de séparation horizontale ce trouve à la hauteur d'une table de travail.

For this purpose, transformable furniture has already been designed and in particular sofas which can be transformed into beds. However. although there are many other transformable pieces of furniture, none exist which are specially designed to constitute a work desk as well as a bed with a few simple maneuvers or operations to achieve the transformation at the desired time.
The present invention proposes to provide a solution to this problem by providing a transformable piece of furniture characterized in that it comprises in a single carcass at least two superimposed compartments, the horizontal partition wall of which is at the height of a table. job.
According to one characteristic, the carcass is in the form of a bridge and has above the horizontal partition wall a desk and possibly a part for any destination while under said partition is a compartment holding a bed.

The piece of furniture in question is constituted by a carcass 1 in the form of a bridge comprising two lateral sides 2 and 3 joined by an upper plate 4 and by a rear wall 5. At a given level corresponding to the height of a work table and, of preferably, at approximately 70 to 75cm from the ground, there is a horizontal partition 6 for dividing the cabinet into at least two large superimposed compartments, one upper and one lower.

The invention is not limited to the embodiment described and it is possible to make certain modifications to it without going beyond its scope; thus the drawers 17 and 19 can be omitted, in which case the panel 15 will be supported in the lowered position by retractable feet; likewise again, the plane 13 can be sliding. In addition, the large upper compartment can have a destination other than a desk.
A piece of furniture according to the invention is simple and very advantageous in rooms of small dimensions and with variable destinations because it can, by means of simple maneuvers, be especially suitable for at least two different buta.
